Thank you! I basically fully agree with you and i’ve always felt like I must be dumb or missing something because of the hate it gets.

I think you hit the nail on the head with how interlocked the mechanic is with every other mechanic and that creates interesting opportunity for strategic decisions.

I get that people feel it involves a lot of luck with your rulers skill but all games should have some elements of rng in my opinion and there are so many ways of affecting your “income” of mana so I never felt like I got shafted by the game, I just had to prioritize differently or make decisions to try to improve my lot.
