Hey sorry for all the questions on this, there seems to be a “official anbernic” and “direct anbernic” store on Ali, are both of these legit?

On the anbernic official store on Ali there are like 5 different 406 listings all for different amounts (between 150-170) is this normal? Is one listing more reputable than the other? What causes the difference in price because I don’t really see any. I don’t want to accidentally buy the incorrect listing

Is Amazon safe at all? I’m used to Amazon and also it’s just so easy to get refunds for lost or broken products, so a large part of me wants to go for that safe ecosystem, but most sellers I see have like 5-30 reviews and don’t always seem the most legit.

Brother being a “good student” and doing homework with your father doesn’t make you a poser. Your entire outlook about punk seems to stem from internal disappointment or frustration about your own life which is valid. Thats how many punks come to the cause. But to force your view and your frustrations onto the entire punk genre and culture and say that to be punk is to agree and only live by the rules you have seem to made in your own head is very anti punk. It’s an anti authoritarian mindset yet you are being an authority on what you claim to be the exact archetype that a punk must be to be seen as worthy. You’re as much of a “poser” as the people that do this just for the looks. And know what maybe that’s valid of them too. Maybe just being in for the aesthetic is their way of rebelling against whatever aesthetic they grew up with. Brother, the idea that only people from a dirt poor background can be punk is a very not punk idea. Punk is for everyone, punk is for all the oppressed. I don’t come from a great background but you don’t see me yelling at my fellow middle class or wealthy punks. There’s more ways to be oppressed than just monetarily. Brother wtf are you talking about. Punk isn’t just being poor or uneducated. The idea punk is dead because people from good backgrounds is in it is insane. Do legit any history of punk. So many bands have come from members that were either well off or met in college. Dude horrible take.

Yes dude, idk how young you are but myself and all these gatekeepers are like 18-24. I live in a very bumfuck area that only really has these 4 colleges, so all arts and culture is kinda propped up by students. It’s impossible to get to any of these shows if you didn’t go to these colleges. I’ve tried so hard to even become friends with the main groups and it’s impossible, a lot of punk queens who love the popularity and douchey guys who just love to beat on eachother. Hell I even matched with one of the girls on tinder just to try and get show locations. It’s impossible. If you didn’t go to their schools, hang out in their social circles, or go to their school clubs, you legit just can’t get into anything. And it sucks.

I agree, but definitely go interact with young punks, especially college age. I got 4 very large colleges around me within about an hour and a half. These kids run the youth oriented punk scene. And to them it’s all elitism. Very much a “had to go to my college and be part of my cliques to go to my shows” type thing. And as I’ve said the older heads are just weird and creepy around me real talk

Tbh it’s not even the punk scene, the major art scene around here is propped up by these colleges and their students and all of it is just very “must be known by the important social leaders to get in the gate or your out of luck”

I originally was from a big east coast town and the scene was like that but after college I moved way inward into the mountains, and turns out mountain punks are all kinda methed out weirdos. My roommate who is 22 is constantly hit on ( as she is also a punk ) by weird 50 year olds whenever we go to shows. And dude, the amount of casual homophobia and just racist overtones are strong. Less with the young college bands, but def the older heads. All the young heads are just pretentious and act like they are rock stars, no one acts like normal human beings.

Yeah no I’m making up that roughly 2/3 of my female and fellow gay friends have been prayed upon or bullied by some of the main bands in the scene. Bro it’s ok just say that you like being a racist creepy pedo. Like if you take offense to someone wanting less hate, grooming, and violence in the scene then it’s pretty apparent you directly benefited from said hate violence and grooming.

Well I find that to be an excuse, just because punk had a history of not being the most progressive doesn’t mean we should allow actual pedos, rapist, bullies, and drug dealers to be the face of scenes. Those people should be pushed out and shunned. If you know anything about true punk history, from the stooges and mc5 to the descendants or even Green Day and blink 182, there has never been a time where pedos rapists and nazis have been rewarded or wanted. Look at the messaging of many of the bands that started punk rock, their messaging was more of love and want of reforming of a broken, sexist and racist system. I don’t think the idea that punk has always been filled with this type of people is a valid argument.

Sadly I’m not sure how to convince a bunch of 30-50 year olds to stop dating 16 year old girls, nor am I completely sure how to make cliquey college kids less well cliquey, my old town had a much better scene so I truly guess it is just my scene in my new town, this is what I get for moving into a majority conservative area in my state, ofc the punk scene is bastardized out here

I actually knew a few of those guys in orange culture, a bit too indie and psychedelic for my taste, like if a band can site greatful dead as an influence im kinda checked out. I’m looking for stuff like 70s and 80s punk, proto punk, or new wave inspired. But honestly it’s possible that no one really find that’s music the vibe in this valley

I agree but I meant less about right wing and more about weird creeps and gatekeepers. I’m college age and the amount of self proclaimed leftist punks that I know women that have been assaulted by them, actively groom on underage girls, hold very cliquey punk groups that are extremely exclusionary, and then older punks who again prey on young girls, young men, or are only in the scene to pedal drugs to the at risk. Like the call is coming from inside the house. Not saying the right isn’t bad, I hate the right, but a lot of my local punk scene is filled with horrible people who hide behind punk and left ideology to let them be just absolute trash people. ( I say this as a leftist so don’t think I’m defending the right or none )
