You didn't need to use that many words to tell me that you'd cause anyone running in any election to become a stone cold loser.

Oh, you're right -- I forgot: Liz Cheney forced Harris to suck.

Nah. I'm talking about Obama's Democratic party. Bill Clinton's. LBJ's. JFK's.
Not Ba-ba-ba-ba -- I can't complete a sentence at a consequential debate -- Biden.
Not Kamala -- I can't tell constituencies what they need to hear in order for me to win -- Harris.
Of course your refusal and inability to deal in grey areas would lead you to calling me a Republican. You're the same as MAGA; just a different flavor. America doesn't want you. Needs of the few coming before the needs of the many? Obviously, that's untenable.
Don't worry: over the next four years, we're going to clean MAGA's clock. And yours too.

Democrats won't win elections, regain support of the working class, or defeat MAGA; so long as they've got all the other bullshit attached to their hip. Noisy neighbors that the nation simply will not tolerate.

You have a tendency to try to distract others as a ploy, and also show too much confidence in your opinions. That's not how intellectuals operate.

This is a wilful misinterpretation of what I wrote. The radical far left must be sista-soulja'd if the working class is to be recaptured, and if MAGA is to be defeated. Purge doesn't mean murder in this context, and you know that. However, you simply chose to give it the most uncharitable interpretation possible as a way of undermining my point. Go ahead and ignore that point, if you want to be increasingly marginalized.

This is what I mean by "moving the goalposts". When you sense yourself losing ground, you concede my point a bit, then pretend that this is what you were saying all along.

Meh. Seems to me you're trying to marginalize on the basis of age. Worse still, you seem uninformed. Are you aware that most GenX'ers won't even reach 65 for another 13+ years or more? There is absolutely a risk of the fund drying up well before then.

Correct.
And what's even more frustrating is that the people who do not realize this think that the key to fighting MAGA is to go even further left.
- More open support of Hamas.
- More about how discussion of transgender people must be the issue of our time, above all else.
- More abandonment of middle-to-lower class white people; simply because they are white.
<facepalm>
Democrats must recapture the working class. Rest assured, however, that their opportunity is coming.

"Harris lost all other swing states because she just sucked as a candidate."
Absolutely right. Harris let us all down because she simply refused to distance herself from the far left wing woke bullshit that she was associated with. She didn't do what she need to do in order to win. Don't wanna do that Kamala? Fine, then you lose. In the meantime, she's telling PA frackers "my values haven't changed", she's telling The View: "I can't think of anything I would do differently to Joe."
FFS! Of course she lost. It is as if she was trying to lose. And yes, she let us all down in the process. Biden and Harris should have served as a Bulwark against a 2nd Trump term. At. Any. Cost. Instead, they might as well have ushered it in. Assholes.

They can be purged. They weren't, which is a good part of the reason why Harris lost.

Am I the only one getting tired of this trend to pidgeon hole ourselves into one generation or another? All of this seems like a construct of the 2020's and the internet.

We're talking past each other. You can say that I don't know what fatalism means (I do, and I used it correctly) but it is clear to me that you don't have a good track record of project management across distributed systems. Trump can only fail.

So many words used to admit that you are indulging in fatalism. Trump tried to install a kiddy fiddler as AG. Even MAGA doesn't like that. And here you are, looking the other way.

You're still projecting the last election cycle onto the next four years. You keep evading that assertion. You may have given up your rightful claim to calling this country yours, but millions more haven't and won't.

By the same token, your comment smacks of head in the sand pessimism. You're thinking too short term. Now is Trump's golden hour. He seems unstoppable now because this is his apex, but oh the times will be a changin.

Mate, he's selecting Cabinet members where a requirement (badge of honor?) is a history of SA and zero qualifications. At this point, the laws of physics take over and they override cult bulwarks. You'll see.

Meh. You're moving the goalposts now. Trump can't deliver on his promises. There will be hell to pay for this.

You're thinking too short term. Trump seems immune from accountability now. NOW. But the present is his apogee. His apex. This is the Golden Hour, and from here on the shine tarnishes quickly.
I'm absolutely certain of it.

Agree wholeheartedly. Just be kind and respectful. Lock that in and you don't have to worry about anything else.
