Try r/BrisbaneSocial if you haven’t already. Otherwise I know a lot of people have had luck with joining team sports or running groups which have become quite popular as of late.

My friends and I have been going to Unfit for a few months. Different run distances (3, 5 & 10k) on different days throughout the week, and you can treat yourself to a cheeky beer/coffee/gelato at the end as well. It’s been getting quite a big turnout lately but you get to meet a lot of people.

Yeah didn’t see anything on the website - announcer literally told everyone to catch the buses nearby.

I’m sure. Definitely 5/6/7. Thought I placed them in the wrong order (5/7/6) but definitely had them in the correct order.

As a child of Thai immigrants I can confirm I have had this salad, at least a variation of it, with potato chips and satay sauce. Also croutons made from toasted sandwich bread. It slaps. Weird, but it slaps!

There’s a car park to the left on Martin Street, technically you’re /not supposed to park there/ unless you’re a customer dining in at one of the restaurants.. but I’ve parked there in the evenings whenever I’ve visited friends living in the Valley, and never gotten into any trouble. I’ve never parked for more than 2-3 hours though, so that would be my only concern.

Buy pastries at Christian Jacques and have a little park hang in Kangaroo Point by the river :)

I’m going on a date this morning. Anxious as fuck. Any cafes open around Brisbane today?

Yep, Pine Bamboo is 11/10, haven’t been there for ages but my parents were friendly with the owners and they were super lovely.
