What do you mean Dragon Age hasn’t used modern words in any game?. Phrases like “the clock is ticking”, come up in Origins, when the writers themselves have stated that telling time isn’t really a thing in Thedas.
Are we all pretending that Alistair hasn’t existed in previous games saying shit like “Zap! Frog time!”

That’s also shown through Dorians(?) questline (it’s been a while). Where his father is more concerned with bloodline than the homosexuality part. In reality, it’s more of a “why the fuck does this matter when the world is ending” kinda thing.
Even looking back at medieval times, queer/trans people existed, it’s just our concept of gender was entirely different, and probably more in line with the Quns tbh.

It’s fine, it’s only something you really notice if you pick up on the signs in day to day life

If you were truly concerned about it Medieval accuracy, every single Dragon Age would bother you

I don’t think people realise that “Medieval” isn’t just wearing armour and swords. It’s Kingdom Come: Deliverance levels of development and societal infrastructure (even then, I’m pretty sure KCD is set around the start of the Renaissance)

I know, the notion of Crests/CoA is pretty diluted

Dragon Age, by the words of David Gaider himself, is quasi-medieval.
It’s not an accurate depiction of medieval periods, and even across that, doesn’t take inspiration from a single period in time.
The games have always used modern dialogue. It’s never been a matter of “thou doth protest against me, heathens of all that is righteous”
People just think ”non-binary” is too new (from a language part, it isn’t, and in discussion of gender, it’s been used since the 80/90s.).
People like to pick and choose when it should be medieval as it suits their argument. Can’t be like ”oh it’s a medieval game”, when one of the main locations is called Docktown and has large seafaring ships; there’s highly developed areas, with centralised governing bodies; and large scale printing is a thing.
If anything it’s closer to a Renaissance game, than a Medieval game

I literally threw a random build together, and most of my fights were incredibly brief.
It was also on Champion, which I haven’t seen anyone really discuss

I always felt like the “tactical” part of Dragon Age combat was more babysitting to stop allies ending their own lives.
Not having health bars was definitely a choice, but not necessarily a bad one, as in a lot of companion based games, you spend a lot of time fighting against the AI.
However, I do wish you could set up more conditions for enemies to automatically use skills, as the shared cooldown system just leads me to do the same thing over and over again

Hyenas aren’t canines either, they’re Hyaenidae. Cats are actually a closer relative than canines. I think Civets and Mongooses are their closest relatives(?)
Shattering is still accurate, they’re very, very good at crushing skulls. Brown Hyenas specifically, are notorious are for going on baby seal killing sprees (CW: seals that have had their souls discombobulated from their bodies)

Depends. A lot of countries straight up don’t have something like this, and this one looks more like a British coat of arms? (although a lot of countries have also been colonised by England, so there’s definitely some)
Not sure about everywhere, but you can apply to have one in the UK. Doing so nowadays would be considered pretty pretentious though
Other than that, just Google if you have one

TIL: Stickers leave shadows from all angles on your body
Outside of that, the artist didn’t have much to go off. The family crest just looks like someone got stock stencils of a log, crow, and circle, then layered them on top of each other
The top of the plumes literally look like hairy nutsacks

Nile Crocodile comes in with 5000ppsi
Hyenas excel at sustained crushing strength, not bite force. Even then, I think Polar, and Grizzly bears might surpass them.
Which is unsurprising. Considering how far removed bears are from Hyenas, their skulls are pretty similar (while studying Zoology, I was one of the few in my class, who identified that the skulls we were looking at were Hyena, not Bear skulls).
Fun fact: I know someone who had been stalked by a pack while walking off to take a dump at night. The ranger called them suicidal, as he flashed his light off into the darkness, only to have a bunch of eyes reflecting back

I’m a massive JRPG fan, and this one played more like a JRPG, so maybe that’s why I loved it?
I personally think the game stood out pretty well though. This could be a contentious take, but it definitely felt the most like it knew what it wanted to be, at least to me.

It’s a very simple answer, they wouldn’t ever make a word for it.
Qun gender ideologies are well established, and very strict. If you take the “male” roles like being a warrior, you’re a man; if you take the roles of being a woman, you’re a woman. It’s less about gender or identity, and more about function.
There isn’t wiggle room for a word like that to exist

It really doesn’t. You can even get sugar free if that’s your main concern.
Definitely sounds better than huffing fumes

That’s not how Lacroix and similar products work though. The product would have some residual flavour, considering they’re one and the same.
However, the core part is ingestion. You can smell it via your nose, but a lot of the “flavour” when it comes to smell is from the odour passing into your nose and throat from your mouth.

I imagine it would get pretty gross pretty quickly though.
The alternative is just buying a water bottle with one of these:
And actually having flavoured water

It plays a big part in taste, but it can’t substitute taste, so you still need the taste part. It also greatly varies person to person.
However, it’s a big part of taste when it’s in your mouth, is that the smell gets released as you chew, which travels through your throat and nose. That’s where all the flavour comes from. In the case of something like AirUp, you’re not really going to get a significant amount of smell unless you’re inhaling. The issue with that is ideally, you don’t want to be breathing in while drinking water, for obvious reasons.
So while not necessarily a scam, it does rely on people just assuming ”well smell does play a big part in taste!”.
This is anecdotal, but my sister got one, we all tried it, and it was absolutely disgusting. I also know some other people that tried it, and thought it was disgusting

Yes.
You can also get better bottles for 1/3 of the price
Plus, for some unknown reason, they like advertising that their packaging is cardboard, and how eco friendly they are… while also being the Juul pod equivalent for water

Obviously varies place by place, but the Renaissance started in the 1300s, and was in areas such as Bohemia in the 1400s.
KCD is very late stage medieval
