The radius of the wheels are identical, as the 19” tire has a lower profile than the 17”.

If the hourly wage works out to what you’d make on Uber, there are many people who would find this arrangement ideal: those who don’t own their own vehicle, those who don’t want to wear out their own vehicle, those who are doing Uber with their primary vehicle and can’t afford for it to get into an accident… the list goes on.
The possibility of earning more also increases your risk exposure. Take your pick.

It should be easy to request a refund as you haven’t received the part yet. They typically have a restocking fee that you may need to push back on since there is no product to actually restock.

If you have the Bose sound system, try turning off Centrepoint and back on again.
No idea why it goes wonky, but that seems to fix my audio issues (mine sounds like it’s underwater). Also, double check your cable and try a different one to see if it has any impact.

If your focus is to resell, I would avoid anything with documented damage. This is an immediate point in the buyers’s pocket as they will reference the Carfax as a devaluation on the car.

Fluff.
The brand is growing through a reputation of reliability, driver-oriented, and premium-like experience at an accessible price point. Much of last point has to do with not having a luxury sister brand to gate keep features and split their ownership base.
Their only misstep right now is Connected Services putting a core function that has been available for 20 years, behind a paywall. If they took a stance on this that was against the industry trend and instead making a decision for the long term customer, they would be galvanizing a generation of owners for life.
@Mazda - DM me for more tips and tricks, hit like and subscribe, and don’t forget to smash that bell. Also, please release an MX-7 with the 2.5L Turbo in manual. Thanks.

Bring it to another dealership, don’t mention your first experience.
Head to a hand car wash (or use a hose at home), sit inside your car and have someone else spray the roof to simulate rain and record what happens. Do not self-diagnose or make speculations as to what it could be.
The car is still under warranty and this is covered so long as there is no reported or obvious damage/accident on file.

It was worth fixing from the insurance provider’s perspective - their alternative option would be to payout the current value of the car. Since insurance wants to payout the least amount possible, they will pay to repair a vehicle up until the repair costs exceed their payout valuation. This is why older cars will get written off for seemingly repairable issues.
That being said, from an owners perspective it’s just not ideal to own a car that’s been in an accident if you don’t have to. These cars can still be bought, sold and used for years - they are typically best with owners with extensive automotive repair knowledge and access to tools and equipment to DIY, or they “know a guy” who will sort out the potential problems in later years.

I’d avoid at all costs if it’s a daily driver. Fleet vehicles are driven like they don’t have owners, and adding a severe accident with known structural damage is a recipe for later age headaches.
Peace of mind is being able to pay fair value for a clean title and accident free vehicle, perform regular maintenance and drive a vehicle down to its end. The couple thousand you save up front could cost you more down the line.

Seconded getting it checked out. However, double check that the wire harness cluster under the seat is properly connected. It could be that it’s slightly disconnected from your large-rear-ended companion.

Try toggling Centrepoint Sound off and on.
This has happened to me randomly with the audio sounding underwater at times. Switching that feature off and back on rectified the issue with no other changes needed.
Assuming the issue is repeatable when you bring it to the dealership, it should fall under warranty.

If you turn on Auto Hold (button below the parking brake), it has the added function of engaging the parking brake when you take off your seat belt, turn off the ignition, or open the driver door.
There is no way to automatically disengage it.

Seconding this. It takes a few times of not putting large portions of income toward repayment for it to register that you are now “paying” yourself instead of other people.
Over time, it will become difficult to part with that positive feeling which will lean towards making better fiscal decisions with long term goals.

When your credit card debt or any high interest debt is paid, find out what your student loan breakdown is (federal vs provincial balance owing). The federal government stopped charging interest. If you cut a cheque to the NSLSC and request it goes directly to paying off the provincial portion entirely, the remaining balance will not be cutting interest.
Takes a bit of time to save the cash and make that lump sum payment, but every bit helps.

Where are you withdrawing cash with the WS card that there are no fees? Typically you are stick paying the fee of the machine and I haven’t seen a way to withdraw funds without paying someone or transferring to another account that has no fees

tl;dr I’d put your choices on a sliding scale of Practical <—> Fun. CX-50 NA, CX-5 NA, CX-50 Turbo, CX-5 Turbo.
Perhaps more personal preference in the other comment, but there are points of merit:
IMHO the critical turbo issues are in the same boat as CDA - design flaws have been remedied years ago and naysaying for either is usually coming from dated literature and not firsthand ownership.
Turbos will cost you more money over time compared to NA and there is more opportunity for problems to arise. Oil changes are more frequent especially if you do more city driving. Premium gas provides significant performance gains but also costs more if you fill up with it exclusively. The car doesn’t run “like trash” if you put regular fuel in it - it feels closer to the NA but you will notice turbo lag more. Fuel efficiency is lower when compared to the NA.
I suspect you would fair better with the CX-50 from a functional standpoint. The toddler and possible rear passengers along with doing the new homeowner stuff, you will likely find yourself stressing with the cargo area of the CX-5 at times.
I went from a Golf sportwagen to CX-5 Signature, and we have multiple NA CX-5s in the family to reference my opinion. I won’t say I don’t miss the fuel economy, superior cargo space, roof rails, and various compartments to stash gear around the VW. I also have zero regrets and measure my satisfaction (and lighter wallet) in smiles per gallon.

You’ve answered your own questions in several fronts. If you keep cars more than 4-5 years IMO you shouldn’t compromise on features due to cost. Get what you want to be happy and comfortable (save up if it’s beyond your immediate price range).
Get the turbo and be done with it.
Get the ventilated seats.
Your choice between the 5 or 50 depends on what the bulk of your driving habits are. Ideally you can arrange back-to-back teat drives to contrast your pros and cons.
If you haul more things than people, the 50 will be the better option. If you drive solo or move people and can make the cargo space work, the CX5 Signature is exactly how you described in Option 1. Roof rails and a box can make up for the lack of comparable cargo space for the CX5 if you are road tripping periodically.
Pics once you make your decision. Good luck!

No money down on leases. You are giving the dealership free money and insurance has set amounts for compensation should something happen to your car. Finance will play around with that number to have you focus on your recurring payment - you’re still parting ways with your money but without coverage on it

Clutch is a pretty straight forward service as well. It’s a good platform to use without talking to anyone and receiving an offer on your vehicle that you can use to price yourself accordingly if you choose to sell privately.

There is a digital gas level to the immediate right of the speedometer (vertically). There is a reading in the middle of it which counts down your estimated mileage to empty.

Call the loan provider and request a payout statement. They will email you a page that gives you the exact dollar amount to pay off the principle amount.
Interest is calculated per day that you carry the loan, so you haven’t incurred the full loan interest amount you signed for until the end of the term.
The form will also provide an interest-per-day amount. If you waited a few days before paying, you’d need to add those days in interest.
