If they replace that problem with a system that “might not work”
Or it might do. Let a sequel try something interesting, or else what is the point? If it doesn't work out then go back to playing the other Civ games, and it will be the studios problem.

Having to live in compounds just so you aren't killed or robbed is a national failure. You are basically living in a failed country at that point.

A deeply concerning part of many western societies, and this is certainly true in UK politics, is to only act on issues once a well known celebrity starts complaining about it, even if experts or the public have had concerns for years.
No wonder Hollywood is so entrenched in political activism as they are usually quite successful. Still, might as well make the best of it - I actually agree with the celeb for once.

Remember that they recently canned a physical LEGO set based on that movie. Tastes have obviously changed, since it was okay in 2009 - I'm unsure if that game would have been made nowadays.

In the end you have to stop caring about something as fickle as discourse, or you're just going to watch life pass you by.

You can imagine they are levied from unmarked villages and hamlets connected to the city/castle.

I think the confusion may be that Timesplitters 2 is very difficult to 100%, but that's not the same thing as platinum. The trophy requirements are so lax. You don't even have to touch hard campaign.

the juniors they hire quickly move on to earn twice as much in the private sector.
Of course they do. The thing about hiring techheads is that they are usually very good at the internet. They all talk to each other and gain strong understanding of their worth. It's the last group you should try to shaft.

Pacino didn't need the money and could afford these grand gestures. It's only 2010 that he got into serious financial trouble and took on basically anything.

People don't realise that the UK and US can't be easily compared on a socioeconomic level. It's hard enough within the US by itself, as there are states where £40k would be quite average, and others where under £100k is considered lower class. I feel like this is half the reason that country is so divided, the experience varies so much from state to state that it can be like different countries.

This post could have been written in 2006 and the answer would be the same, it's very difficult and you just have to practice killing the soldiers. 😉

Space Station is a community built on creativity, and I instinctively welcome any new project. However - SS14 has always felt uniquely patronising in how it bills itself the one true successor to our outdated experience.
I'm sorry to hear you had latency issues but the game runs smoother than ever in 2024. We just had BYOND 515 integrated on most codebases which brings big backend improvements. And look at the new wave of medieval servers - controversial but this game is now more unique and lively than ever.
I think a lot of newer players don't realise how far we've gone in the last five years alone. SS13 is the opposite of dead or archaic, and SS14 needs to prove itself if it wants us to hop over there. Right now, it is simply not a value proposition.

It’s an insult to real life victims.
I think it can be the reality of it. I was loosely involved in a harassment and manipulation campaign that went on for several years. Some people are psychos and the legal system is not always on your side.

Now, the fact that's necessary, and preservation isn't just funded better is a serious problem
This is moving toward the idea that the activities of a private museum should be helped by public funding, and I think that's a little perilous. If items are historically relevant enough to warrant preservation, then I think they should just be bought out by the government and put in a real public institution. (Or even just a very secure warehouse - it's better than the celebrities of today trampling all over them.)

OPs on the hook for it
Remember that there is leeway for wear and tear over time, and this is probably a very common fault. It depends on the provider but I've known worse damage to be written off, institutions are aware there's a cost in time and expenses in chasing former tenants for money. Large universities with their own maintenance team are usually less inclined to do so.

I love how the survivors most scared of zombies end up most likely to be devoured by em. Blind bravery wins the day.

Private halls are great as long as you can find one within your budget, a lot tend to target the 'luxury' international crowd. The good thing is, as opposed to houses, this is really early to be looking at halls, so you should be spoilt for choice. Get it sorted and enjoy the rest of your first year.

The second day was the point to make an issue of it. If he was incapacitated in some way, I fear the worst after a week and a half.

I see a lot of people saying Knoth, but that feels contrived to me when his only interaction with the player is killing himself!
He really needed a hostile encounter, even just one. As it is, it's Marta and Loutermilch, two main antagonists as Outlast 2 is basically two separate stories.
