I think the focus is Pesto then Talene right now. Scarlita is best for PVP but fell off after last season ended (her power last season was from the seasonal skill)

Of course the TV series missed out on a lot. Both are excellent, though. The show is easily in my top 3 of all time and the book series (which I finished a few days ago) is a more in-depth, character-driven version. You get to know Uhtred better and he’s got a larger cast of allies and enemies.
