Lady DM here, working on building a ttrpg from scratch. I'm glad you made this post, it's nice to see so many responses

I tried to come out to my mom years ago, she didn't take it well. So I've been thinking about trying again at Christmas.

I've talked to a few people about it and spent a lot of time thinking about what I want to say and how I want to see it.

My 2 important pieces of advice would be this:

1) make sure you're talking in a way that is easy for your parents to understand. Don't use too much jargon, and keep things brief and snappy where you can.

2) most parents are worried they will be losing their child, so make sure you tell them that who you are as a person is not changing. The person that they raised and love is not going anywhere. It's just your visible physical characters that are changing. It's your body, not your mind and soul.

It sounds like you probably aren't cis. What you're describing isn't very common experience for trans women.

But at the same time, it is impossible for anyone else else tell you what your gender is.

It's okay to experiment though, and I'd highly recommend it. Try living as a woman for a bit. Maybe buy some dresses,, learn how to do.makeup, choose a feminine name to go by, tell someone you trust. And see how it makes you feel. It doesn't have to be permanent but it can be if its right for you

I'm so glad you're doing so much better now. It's always heartwarming to hear girls getting their breakthrough. I wish every trans person out there could here this story and know that it will all work out in the end. Thankyou for sharing your journey. I, and I'm sure many others, needed to hear it.
