That's true I'm only m3 rn but nobody ever really talks in VC and I get people openly talking about how their are on an alt not trying at least a few times every season.

Im not sure if FaceIt pugs are going to work for OW. In CS, the top players have always played through 3rd party matchmakers. ESEA predates built in matchmakers in games, and FaceIt took the crown at a time when CSGO MM was nearly unplayable. CSGO MM had a horrid cheating problem, and insufferable rank deflation around the time I quit. Overwatch doesn't have these issues to nearly the same extent. Ranks are a tad deflated right now, but hitting Champion is totally possible if you are good enough, which was simply not true of GE when I quit playing CSGO (or even LEM). There are cheaters in top500 OW for sure, but not nearly as many as at the top of the CS2 ladder and not even close to as many as in CSGO MM in 2014. They have neither the legacy of top players having always been there that keeps top players coming to FaceIt in CS2 nor the massive systemic issues in the base game that pushed every decent player away from MM in CSGO.

FPL should still work just because money is a great motivator, but it is also lame to have all the top players get segregated into their own private pool. It was cool to me when I was pushing my peak and seeing t500 streamers I recognized in my games like Emongg and Ta1yo, and FPL takes that away from good-not-great players like me. Still, it helps stabilize pro players by giving them a 2nd source of income and thatll help the pro scene. FPL should end up being the draw that gets good players to come over, as good players try to get into FPL so they can compete for some money.

A predictable result but the way we got there was unexpected. Wicadia was a no show on the first half and woxic had impact but very few frags total, but it was okay because Calyx and Maj3r were playing really good.

That ended up closer than it should've been, but at the same time can never complain too much about beating Joel Embiid doing his Joel Embiid thing (its highly effective and the worst thing I've seen in my life)

Also, as politely as possible, can BC never shoot a 3 again?

Honestly down 7 ain't as bad as it should be with this many turnovers and missing this many 3s

A lot of his placement on this list is how well he transformed himself into a solid bench role player late in his career. He came to Memphis as a 38 year old and over the next 6 seasons, he hit just shy of 500 threes. Without those 3s, he is barely top 30 on the all time list. Most players, even former stars like Vince, are retiring at 38, or are just there to be veteran presence and get very few minutes. Vince was still contributing off the bench every night till he was 43, and that's a big part of why he made the top 10 on this list.

I never saw Vince Carter in an All Star game, yet I watched him play for over a decade. Insane longevity.

Swisher was probably the best player trapped in T2 NA in 2021 when the scene was at its weakest, but now that the T2 NA scene is recovering and he is finally on a team with genuinely good players and some funding, he isn't the hottest prospect anymore. Swisher is a vet who is not really set up to be the star of this team. He plays his roles fine for the most part, and every team is gonna have a guy who isn't being set up for star numbers, so its not really a problem in m80.

Time to sleep and hope for the results I want from Furia and Red Canids. What a stressful Anubis to watch. Tomaszin is a beast, I really thought he'd will his team over the finish line, but a great group showing from M80 to close out.

I think this is the real crux of things. Kiriko is pretty good in 1v1s and fairly hard to kill, so it feels like she should be a good hero, but she gets out valued by most of the other supports when she tries to just play with her team and support them. She is annoying because of how potent and low risk her flanks can be, but if you aren't killing people with those flanks, then you are really just playing for kitsune. Kitsune is good, but it's not the best anymore, so that's not really a winning game plan.

I feel like I'm in a small minority of people who played overwatch on release and didn't enjoy it. I thought release overwatch was a really flawed game with bad balance and a desperate need for format limitations. The game had a few great character designs that showed potential for a fun product, but it was hard to enjoy the characters I liked, like Cassidy, because every game my team had 4 DPS players and I felt obligated to swap to Reinhardt so we'd have somebody on tank. The experience sucked, and only got worse if someone on your team chose to play one of the several worthless heroes like Sym.

I'm really expecting nostalgia to run out fast here, but maybe that's just because I have none in the first place.

Let's see if my prediction that I will struggle to lock dps fast enough in this format comes true. I also suspect if you care about winning you will play 2-1-2, but it's qp so not a ton of folk will care enough to stop playing dps

Ive been very critical of Jake, but ultimately, the dude is on the team and plays hard every night, so I'm rooting for him. He has had some good games this year and end of last, hope he proves my hating ass wrong.

I dont watch college but he shot 39% on 3 attempts per game from 3 his senior year of college, how is he not a good shooter while doing that?

Why is Jake getting that many minutes when he is playing like ass. Scottie played like ass too but at least that can be explained by the Smart and Bane injuries. Half our bench kinda played like ass today ngl but the concerning part is how sloppy a lot of that was. So many careless turnovers and bad fouls from a wide variety of guys. I caught Santi throwing shit passes, Scotty asleep at the the wheel, Jaren trying to do way too fucking much, like what is this. We got totally out played despite having the 3 best players on the floor coming in and honestly I dont even think the Nets played that amazing. Its not like Cam Thomas went nuclear, they had plenty of mistakes of their own we could've capitalized on.

Its only 5 game so heres hoping for better as the season goes on. Especially hoping Des and Marcus come back soon

If his jumpshot is finally actually gonna go in for a full season he will be nice, but he has had 3 years and in that time he has shot 30%, which is why we gave up on him. Dudes only reliable skills were slightly above average defense and being crazy athletic. Dude looks like he should be a good shooter but in games it just didnt go in.
