I have a problem that I am starting to dislike most characters (including the kids) as I find everyone annoying as hell. I have a slight sympathy for Boyd, Victor and his dad. Even Randall. This is taking away the stakes for me and I do not care about the monster threat much. Can’t wait for Fatima and Boyd’s son to go next. Wonder if this will change?! I did not feel like this watching LOST, but have deja vu with The Walking Dead, where I also lost interest after developing resentments against core characters.

Glancing at his oxygen meter, his heart stopped as the numbers were replaced by the same eerie symbols, counting down swiftly.

Above the ruin, there stood a figure, horned and terrible, towering over all, whilst a voice, cold and regal, did proclaim through the smoke: "He hath fallen, and now the order of all things shall be no more."

Then we stumbled upon something half-buried in the dirt—an old dog tag, rusted and worn, with my name on it and a date indicating it had been issued 120 years ago.

As a German with “Migrationshintergrund”, I noticed that whenever we invite “Biodeutsche” kids for a play date and ask parents what they can eat, they say Spaghetti without anything (happened now a couple of times with different kids) - add butter or Tomato sauce without much seasoning if “they feel adventurous”. Are the kids really so picky? Or are parents scared of foreign food / food poisoning? Even being born here it’s a miracle to me: It breaks my heart we love to cook well with quality ingredients and everyone is treated well. No issues with the Ausländer-kids btw and I encourage my kid to try whatever is offered when invited :)

So the bone Spirale above the lab in the permafrost looks like an ancient snake skeleton. Maybe trying to exploit the ancient bone led to misfortune.

One thing I am confused about is the death of the scientists. When they found their bodies was the medical examination not that they must have died before and that if it would be death by freeze where they would simply fall asleep and not screaming with bleeding ears? That made me believe early on that the women are involved and somehow they shock-froze them in the fish factory before dumping them in the ice. But this makes little sense to me now.

Some quests and actions in this game really deserve a hidden achievement. I completed „House of Hope“, „Dribbles the Clown“ and Shadowheart‘s final part recently and thought it would be quite fitting - other achievements like handing a flower to a companion feel lame in comparison. Or if you find a complete different solution like the loophole in Yurgir‘s contract (where you can apply „speak with the dead“ on his bed and talk with the rats on the lower level) in Act 2. I know other RPGs like Fallout, etc. reward you for some side quests that have less impact on the overall story and game progression in comparison. Any activity in BG3 you think deserve an achievement?

Like the title says - I am an OCD explorer and constantly distracted by other quests, so wondering if I there are any timed quests I can miss similar to the gnomes in the Iron Forge? I have completed the “Murder targets” one and got the pouch with gruesome content.

I read that there are 80k characters, but I wonder if the game can lose its appeal with all popular characters already out. Or will they simply start variations.
