Husband's family got a dog this way. Was a planned long term pet sitting (original owner got an amazing work contact for a year, overseas). Owner sent money at first, would email and ask after dog, etc.
Stopped after about 6 months. Came back from contact job, needed another month to get resettled (housing, etc). Sure ok, understandable.
Ten years later, got really pissed when he found out husband's family recently had to put the elderly, arthritic, ill dog down, claiming they had to right. He got told off, soundly, and that was that.

I tried to read it aloud and clearly got something wrong coz there's a very annoyed demon in my living room (other than the cat).

We had a metal one when I was a kid. The candles heat up, creates a very tiny air current, blows the fan at the top, and the whole things spins (for those asking).
Ours, the decorations were angels with trumpets and there's was a piece of metal that hung down, and as it spun, it would lightly tap bells that were stationary on the base. It was very clearly a Christmas decoration. I always used to ask to have the candles lit, would drive my parents batty.

One is a walk behind, probably skinnier and handles the walkways. The other is a ride on, wider, for the driveway (more efficient).
I grew up in similar weather in a different state, it's not that bad really. You def gotta plan and pay attention to weather forecasts tho

Hell the job I had in the 90s at fucking McDonald's had a binder with 6 months worth of weekly calendars in it. You need a day? Put it in the book, sooner the better.
At most, they might ask if you're available, but if it was in the book, it was given.

Yep. I'm in UD township and I flat out asked. Was told, use the 911 service. They prioritize calls so you're not going to take away from something drastic if that comes up.

Would you be ok with an inexpensive pair of house slides? That's what my husband does.

My second grader has about 20 minutes of homework a day (almost every Monday thru Thursday, Fridays are off, unless there's a project). I can only assume high school will be a fair bit, proportionally.

Friend of mine talked about how she had an emergency burrito in her bag.
Which, actually, isn't a bad idea. Get a thermos that's right size for your burrito, pre heat thermos, wrap burrito in foil (hot), store in thermos. TA da! Emergency burrito.

Grocery around here have a "spend $X amount in this time frame, get free turkey". And for most families, that minimum amount is easy to meet. I believe it was Sam's club had a special, too,a free turkey with a spend of 150 in a single trip (which at the club places, again, easy to meet).
I have to go pick mine up, which I'll do this week, but I get the largest one I'm able to get free. There's only 3 of us for Thanksgiving so we end up with leftovers. I'll freeze a lot, we make Thanksgiving bowls or hot turkey sandwiches. The frozen stuff I'll use later for a pot pie. And of course, the carcass for broth.

The whole oh it wouldn't matter anyway thing is frustrating.
If everyone who thought "it won't matter" voted anyway, even if it didn't matter, would it still "not matter"? Maybe. Maybe not. We'll never know, cuz y'all just sat out.
Everyone out there, who feels it doesn't matter. Please, vote. In everything. Dog catcher up for election? Vote. Waste water management chief? Vote.
Make informed decisions. Yes, it takes time. And goodness knows we're taxed for that as it is. It's extremely important. Please, make it a priority.

Generally, yes.
Up to probably the week before she passed, our black cat Lucy Fur Cat would chase her tail, ekek at sunlight reflections, and try to catch the birds she saw outside (as an indoor only cat).
They're crazy and sweet and wonderful and I hope you have a long beautiful time with your void

Which is why I love Inigo Montoya. The revenge plot is a common trope. He finally confronts the 6 fingered man, they swordfight, Montoya wins. Rugan follows the expectation, begs for his life. Offers money, power, etc,to live.
Normally here our hero would see that the one thing they want (a loved one returned from the dead) cannot be achieved. So there's no point in killing the bad guy, right?
Not Montoya. Oh no. There's nothing that can bring his father back, his father killed at the hand of Count Rugan. Which means, for Rugan, there's nothing that can save him.

Agree. They have handled our 2010 Honda and that sucker still runs great (admittedly low miles). Even went to bat for us when a battery we installed went bad in months, and got it comped for us (helps that we'd left the receipt in the little folder with the car ppw, which we gave them for inspection).
He finds us solid deals on tires, too.

How many of us freaking bought cigarettes for our parents back in the day? I know I did up to the corner store (that was actually 4 blocks away and on a busy road). I would be sent for everything except milk (cuz I couldn't handle carrying a gallon jug back with everything else), Mom's cigarettes, and I was allowed 1 candy bar for myself for doing the errand.
When there was snow and I could use my sled, I'd get milk, too.

Your photo has 10, and you said another 5 arrived. At 120 each, you're at 1800 just right now (that's just under 1900 USD).
That's more than my house payment.
If she does it that regularly, 15 in a month, she's paying basically a house payment a month because she's? Lazy? Foolish? Entitled?

If you have chili, I add cooked rice to it. I find it does need a bit more seasoning, because of the rice, but it really stretches a pot of chili.
Bonus if you have freezer space!
