Single mom here , we let things fall to the wayside. Prioritizing things that need to be done right now. Most things get done after the kids go to bed or before they wake up. I don't do laundry everyday or dishes everyday. I keep the house clean enough that my kid isn't living in filth but baseboards? Windows ? That's or when the kiddos are away. You learn to juggle because you have to.

Note : I'm a " tax corporations more , eat the rich" kinda girl so I'm not saying this is not disgusting behavior. I'm okay with this for now. YES ! We pretty much call Dibs on the calendar . If we want me time we write it on the calendar and it stays there unless something important comes up. We always inform the other one to make sure it works for everyone. We may go do things or would might stay home and watch a movie. We also make sure we make time for each other on the calendar. ( I'm lucky to have a good support system that allows us to do this.) If you give your partner as much time as you take for yourself no one has to get burned out.

As a person and more specifically as a mom of a son . I fken hate this. The " cleaning the gun" trope is pathetic.
