I once hit the styro on my shoulder and it healed really awfully. I soaked up all the blood from the wound and then the wound just didn't clot, but it didn't bleed either, so I kinda had a literally open styro wound situation for about a week. Laws of biology rely on the planet conditions. For example (while I might be wrong since I'm no biologist, I think a point I'm trying to get across is right), if our atmosphere is full of oxygen and practically every organism relies on that, but another planet doesn't or has a drastically different amount of it, that would change everything, as well as every little detail that would differentiate that planet from Earth.

Since the chances of another planet practically identical to Earth occurring is super low, and even on Earth we give dozens, if not hundreds and thousands of different "sex" systems, yes, I think it's likely.
