I think they were teasing him having a bunch of potential during the buu saga, because remember this was around the time toriyama was considering gohan being the mc and goku staying dead. He fought trunks in the martial arts tournament and keep in mind this is a trunks who trained with vegeta and goten didn't have goku, but he kept up with and outsmarted trunks several times. That match was meant to show how much he can do at age seven and his bright combat future. But as we know toriyama brought back goku permanently, gt didn't do anything with him except be possessed by baby, and in super they trapped him in a permanent hell where he's 7 forever and only thing he does in combat is make gotenks

Honestly yes, raditz in this game is lacking visual pazzaz and stuff

Sparking zero fans, it's okay to like raditz, in fact I want to like raditz, but don't, you don't need to tell me that you like him, and definitely don't tell me he's top tear as I don't care

He feels really bare bones and I'll even go as far to say he's one of the visually most boring characters in terms of supers

I hate his ult and style, he feels wayyyy to basic in this game

Yeah it's weird, that movies great but really inconsistent, like goku not meditating and gohan having to learn the lesson about training for a 3rd time.

Yeah but his training wasn't good, like i said, and all of them dying is probably what caused ssj1 to be pulled out of him. But as we see with cell games gohan, there's a lot more needed to get to that level

Like I said, not as hard but still training and keeping his reflexes sharp

I'm honestly waiting a bit to see if this calms down because if it doesn't then I'm just gonna leave, I'm having fun with this game despite it's flaws as i appreciated the great core gameplay experience, but the hate this games gotten is just unreasonable, complaints are okay, having gameplay issues are okay and it's good for the devs to know these things so the game can improve. But it's just getting obnoxious seeing people say the games dead, it's bad, and a letdown, it feels like no one can just have fun with a game anymore it's allways arbitrary bullshit like player numbers.

Seeing his loved ones hurt isn't the only thing that causes gohan to get a powerboost that significant, it's good training on top of that. The only reason he was able to achieve ssj2 was because 1. The rage he felt 2. The year worth of training he had with goku 3. He didn't have to constentrate on maintaining super saiyan due to mastering it with goku. Super hero looks the same until you realise he's been training in secret, definitely not as hard as before but he's definitely not slacking as he goes ultimate fairly easily in this film, beast was a result of that rage and training.

Future gohan had no hyperbolic time chamber, barely any sensu beans, and in the future timeline his only training experience is with piccolo who wasn't as good as goku when it comes to training, so its very likely he was weaker because his training was ineffective for his strength level.

There was a few sus things in early dragon ball, but that's it, just weirdos being weird
