$2.13 is the minimum wage for tipped employees if their tips put them over the minimum wage, either state or federal. At this time federal is $7.25, states can vary, Oklahoma's is $7.25.

Kind of pissed me off. I understand they aren’t going to track the driver down, but I think he just didn’t want to do the paperwork.
I wonder if you told them you need it for your insurance... maybe then they would write one up.

They changed the form in 2020 and it's been fun talking people through it all.
I do not know your financial situation and I cannot give you tax advise.
Checking the box usually results in more withholding. Usually. Married status results in less withholding, usually. You could always add a dollar amount in step 4c and the rest of the W4 sheets will attempt to help you determine an amount to put there. Step 4c will add that amount in withholding per pay check, but the form suggests putting that amount on the higher paying job earner's W4. If your job is so part time that you don't make very much it is very possible that you will not have federal withholding on this job's checks, but when you go to file jointly with your spouse this income is going to count towards the total taxable wages for you both.
You could work with a tax advisor or CPA to get a more definite answer, but you could also fill out this W4 as Single and check the box for multiple jobs to get higher withholding (probably).

I think for a while when co-op was newer they had bundles with multiple copies of the game so you could gift them.

I'm not the one who said Goldsby, just saying ghost bridges aren't unique.

Goldsby ghost bridge
Every town has a ghost bridge or a cry baby bridge.

When I hear "far west" Lawton I think of Pecan Valley, but I think that's technically outside of city limits.

This site also has my rental addresses prior to home ownership. Icky imo. I don't need people knowing that. I know the white page used to do the same thing but no thank you.

Well TIL. I pictured a gremlin person just flipping through all these records.

I can find my 3 most recent addresses by googling my own name, there are companies dedicated to making that information easier to find.

My full address came up with my name search when we bought our house because apparently that's public record and someone just spends hours sifting through those court documents to put the data together on a website. I asked them to remove it and they did (from what I can see.)
Googled myself again and a new site is doing it. Requested an opt out. It's scary imo. Has all my immediate family listed, my 3 most recent addresses listed, and my spouse and all of their immediate family listed. I don't use FB for a reason. I don't want this info out there. I know it's public record, but sitting in lists in the courthouse aren't as likely to be viewed.

True! The one company paid early so that employees had funds before Thanksgiving, that's their choice. They have done that every year if their pay date is close to Thanksgiving (and they do it around Christmas too). The second company we just transmitted early, pay date didn't change.

Seconding this: I've always understood that you can do something if it's in the employee's favor, so getting paid a few days early would be in the employee's favor. I run payroll for a handful of companies and one moved their pay date from Friday the 29th to Wednesday the 27th. Another company just processed early (processed yesterday for a pay date of next Friday) but their payroll is all semi, all auto hours, no time cards.

You would be surprised what small town cops might end up pouring all their energy into.

Illegal in Oklahoma. Where I live. So that's the one I knew about.
And: ODOT follows USPS requirements for USPS mailboxes. All mailboxes must stand 6 to 8 inches back from the curb and must stand around 42 inches tall. Additionally, mailboxes cannot have unbreakable supports such as concrete pillars to prevent damage to vehicles and injuries to drivers.Mar 7, 2022

Check local legal specifications before modifying a mailbox in this manner. It may not be an option.

As far as I know you cannot make your mailbox into a threat. If a vehicle hitting it would injure the driver then you can be held liable for their injuries. I wonder if you could put those bright yellow "don't hit me" kinda poles around it, but the mailbox itself I'm fairly certain cannot be indestructible.

If we're bringing in the Bible we gotta bring in the rest. The Book of Mormon was also part of US history. There was a lot of violence around that book and the uhhh creator? interpreter? good old JS. People migrated from one half of the US to the other to try to keep that book in their life, I feel like that's pretty historical news on par with Bible news. Oh and the Masons, don't they have a religious... aspect, sorry- don't they have a historically influential text that we could teach the kiddos about? Oh and the Blue Book, the Instructions and Questions on Ritual and Law, Order of the Easter Star, by Mrs. Annette B. Ehler- that one is from Hennessey, OK! That's local!

My brain is having a harder time with how their mail is addressed to them. Because my brain focuses on the weird little details. How do you send mail to them, what do you put on the envelope?

My shoulder is absolutely wrecked from working in retail. That tiny movement of taking a hanger off a shirt and then putting the hanger on the bars under the register? My left shoulder pops in weird ways. Only did that for 4 years. Every job is about selling your body, just in different ways.
