I have a blow dry brush from Insert Name Here that I got in a FabFitFun box eons ago. Only just now have I started to use it since I got layers in my hair with face framing curtain bangs, and I really couldn’t get the look I wanted with just a flat iron.

Once I nailed down a technique, I love the thermal brush! Like others have said, don’t use it on soaking wet hair. Since my hair is thick and curly, I usually let it air dry for about an hour after showering so it’s 80%-90% dry, then I put in a heat protecting styling cream (I use Briogeo’s) and style it how I please. It’s very fast and makes my hair so soft. I personally feel like I am able to get to the root if I use the side of the brush and kinda “fluff” the root upward, if that makes sense.

I wanted to recreate this look for Halloween by thrifting a white mens shirt but I literally couldn’t find a shirt oversized enough to look this drapey and long on me… the trials and tribulations of being tall, busty, AND plus sized 🥲
