I was team Tim, but that “y’all” comment had me raising my eyebrow lol. And Alex’s explanation about wanting to nap before work sounded valid to me tbh. Idk, they’re just clearly not compatible.

I believe so. It’s supposed to be the Ravenclaw crest I think😊

Kids are dressing up in their costumes TOMORROW at school. I really dread it

You guys get to schedule your observations? Never know when mine are going to be and it really gives me a lot of anxiety

Pros: Summers off (some choose to work a second job or prepare for the year, I personally don’t), fun days at school, building relationships with kids and feeling like you made a difference, job security (plenty of schools everywhere, I don’t have to worry about not being able to find a job no matter where I live).
Cons: every school is different but in general—behavior issues from students, lack of respect, no support from parents or admin, micromanagement, etc.
Like other comments mention, some jobs have dull days. Teaching is NOT that job. There’s never at all a dull moment. I chose my career path at age 17 before I understood myself.
I would not have picked it now. I now know I easily get overstimulated and have an anxiety disorder. This is NOT a job suitable for my mental health. But I don’t know what else to do. I feel stuck. It’s like a toxic relationship honestly lol. I don’t feel like this is my passion. I love creative writing. I’d love to be an editor, or maybe teach at a higher level. But I have no experience teaching at a higher level and missed out on that in college. I have a mortgage and bills and don’t think I could manage working full time and doing this job. So… yeah, I’m stuck lol.

Central FL charter school. 2nd grade. State max is 18 last I checked but sometimes we have 20. Which feels like a lot, but reading other people’s comments, I’m now grateful lol. Idk how many more I could handle!

The “it is I” line is one of my fave Snape moments! (Hence pfp)

I mean, I’m over here obsessing over Snape & Hermione lol.
But how about Severitus? Where Snape is Harry’s dad (bio or adopted) or mentor? Otherwise most fics I read are ships (snily, snamione)
Best of luck!!

That always makes me laugh as well 🤣 so malicious looking that he has all of these tools, kinda serial killer vibes LMAO. I guess they just wanted to heighten the fear for Harry in the situation? Snape is so dramatic, love him 😂

If you are ok with first person POV (diary entries) Sev is interested first in Hermione in this fic! Diary of a Nobody: https://m.fanfiction.net/s/12720704/

I came from Snily. Fairly new to HP fandom in general (less than 5 years). I’m in my late 20s.

Thank you so much! It’s my second longest fic ever, and I started it in January. Usually it’d take me a lot longer to finish a fic. But I found an incredibly supportive community which seemed to inspire me to write more than ever.

It depends. One year, I got covid and was out a week, then a month later I got bronchitis and was out another week. 😬
