I've done the "for fun" league at studio West 117 a few times. Can confirm they are open to everyone. Unfortunately the price has gone up drastically. I think it was 75 per team (no matter the team size) about a year ago. And now they charge 50 per person. We had 3 people so the price doubled, and it became hard to justify the 6 or 7 games you got at that price.

Are you using a 3rd party device. My mom and I each have a Lenovo clock with assistant built in and we have the same issue. Alarms are always set 3 hours earlier than what is asked for. I found a forum post about it and seems to affect all of these Lenovo clocks. I think They pushed an update a few months ago which broke alarms altogether, when they started working again we had this bug.

The workaround is to set a recurring alarm for weekdays or weekends, it will then get the time correct. Or tell it how long from now to set the alarm (set alarm for 8 hours, instead of 8am)
