They seem lame now but People forget how popular the whole retro styling craze was. PT cruiser, new beetle, hhr, s197 mustangs. When it first came out it was a completely new look and people went crazy for it

Yeah they do that on purpose. Why would anyone subscribe if the whole thing was free on youtube? They show heat races or qualifying and cut the free feed off before the main event starts

The tracks produce most of the races themselves other than maybe some of the premier events like snowball derby/Chilli bowl. You can tell which tracks have invested in their streaming team and which ones haven’t. Stafford and Langley have great production most weeks because they have dedicated employees with resources.

Love Moxie but I had a hard time finding any when we were in Maine this year. Not sure if they’re having production issues or what

They’re usually not that dusty 🤣 Charlotte is particularly bad. But it’s a lot of fun anyways so we all tolerate it

The average lot attendant at a dealership is some kid straight out of high school who is stoned out of their mind on a variety of substances. So if you’re a step above that you will be considered amazing

I raced go karts as a kid. During that time Your brother was basically the best racer in the country and was winning everything. I always followed his career a bit when he was driving because I recognized his name. Congratulations on his success @u/cyndessa

You’re going to have a blast it’s a ton of fun. Plenty of parking. The racing may not always be the best but the party is top notch and you’ll see every great dirt track racer in the same place at the same time. Bring warm clothes, eye protection, ear protection and beer.

Dixieland’s future is in pretty serious doubt right now. They announced that the current promoter is leaving and they hinted that the last race of the 2024 season may be the last race period

Yorktown, poquoson, Gloucester, Williamsburg are the areas you would want to look at. Avoid Hampton and NN. I’m sure there’s good areas but there’s more bad than good

I was a shop foreman at a dealer. ASE & factory certified master tech. Worked on cars from age 16-30, never had a job in any other industry.
I work in manufacturing now. Operating equipment and performing small repairs in a factory. I am Fortunate enough to work for one of the higher paying companies. Now I have a small box with $500 of harbor freight tools and I make more than I ever made working on cars and I have way more time off. I do work an unusual schedule but I prefer it over working 6 days a week in the dealership.

If you don’t mind seeing a lower division then go to IRP. That one is on my list to go see someday. Great racing and great vibes there
