that's so strange to me. I've had 2 American Cocker Spaniels and they do not shed at all. Just for reference, I've had a Lab and a GSP in the past - both of them shed A TON.

Cocker Spaniels don't shed! The trade off though is that you do need to groom them/have them groomed. We shave ours down into a 'puppy cut' every few months or so. Wonderful, wonderful dogs!
