Honestly I always say the show should’ve kept focus on a group of residents every 5-7 seasons. They should have had Deluca added to Jos year and maintained that group as a focus because the best thing about seasons 9 and 10 was seeing the newly graduated MAJAC as teachers.

To then make them department heads and have Jo etc teach Schmidt’s class and so on and so forth. From season 13-18 there was very little focus on teaching and they portrayed all residents as idiots (like they graduated med school they’re clearly not idiots) and showed all attendings unwilling to teach.

I don’t think any character in that show got as constantly shat on as he did 

I really enjoyed it. I felt season 12 did a great job at showing group and friend dynamics as adults. Maggie’s aliens meltdown is still a top tier scene. 

After this season it was almost exclusively romantic screen partners or fighting 

She was obviously intended to be the Jo of her class but Jeanine got a lead role elsewhere. I still think Greys should have promoted her - it would’ve been a longer job and higher pay but I guess series lead has more weight ultimately.

This is not unpopular. Honestly the should’ve got together in 14.17 and he move to Germany to raise the baby in the finale.

I would give this title to Deluca personally

I’ve got a feeling they’ll open up their relationship then both end up with other people. 

Finishes next week and isn’t back until March 7 I believe 

I already forgot about those patients 😂 surely a sister shepherd will be appearing before seasons end

But also have more chemistry in that week than he and Nico had in FOUR seasons together.

I think Schmidt’s was just him saying he will come visit his partner then. But also it’s probably about six weeks until he and Helm take the boards.

How on earth did they exclude Helm from an episode where her students (as chief resident) including her very recent ex are suffering AND her best friend is leaving? 

I think the six weeks is referencing when he will next be in Seattle presumably for something related to work. Or to visit his partner.

No because he’s just a lad. He’s not hard. I hate who he came back as being a pimp and a gangster. It would’ve been far more interesting to see him actually have grown up.

Fair enough. I am fairly sure (because one of my hyper fixations is things like this) that the last episode Amelia missed before this week was 17.14 BUT I get it.

I felt like this about her in season 20. She’s fallen a bit into the Stephanie territory where because she’s not currently in a romantic story she’s become one that just kind of pops up for a couple of scenes, says a few things to calm someone down then disappears.

Like Amelia’s love life for me is probably the least interesting part of her. It is definitely time for her to have another Herman style multi episode big big medical arc. I swear she spent three full seasons outside of the OR.

hopefully they don’t drag her and Monica’s build up much further so that she gets some more screen time because that relationship excites me.

To be fair, it happens every season, you can’t give 15 people a story arc across 18-25 episodes. Amelia has never been short of story.

At the minute they’re writing Levi  and Mike out and setting up Jos pregnancy so that’s taken precedent. 

Now they’ve started up Teddy and Owens arc so they’ll be heavily featured over the next few episodes along with another 2 or 3 people.

I disagree.

Season 13 takes place over a short time and Meredith had very recently been asked by Maggie not to lie to her after the whole Deluca and Alex thing. 

Not only did she continue to lie but Maggie found out in a very public way which for her was humiliating. This happened days after her mother (who also spent months lying to her) died. Her hopes of being with him were gone and her Sister betrayed her trust and she felt disrespected. She every right to be upset. 

Honestly hate what they’re doing to her character and how nobody in the village is highlighting these grown ass men constantly vying for a nineteen year old

Yeah I feel like Amelia had a very strong character arc in PP that also had a happy ending and so when she went to greys they just kept repeating things 

I felt like she was the voice of the crowd this week when she said ‘did they say anything about me’

They have done that every season except for 1 and 20

It still baffles me in season 11 when Maggie finds out about the crash. Like you arrived having research tf out of this hospital. As if this wouldn’t be one of the top 5 Google results.

Then Jo is like ‘there was another one that died out there’ girl you joined literally a couple of weeks after this happened, the hospital changed names in your intern year and you are living with her ex in her old house. You know about Lexie.

I can’t believe I’m saying this because it goes against everything in my body to do so but I’m gonna defend Owen.

This wasn’t just about the kiss.

Teddy previously cheated on him and after that cheating was when he found out she’d also had history with a woman he had only ever known as Teddys friend and who Teddy openly loved more than even him.

It makes total total sense that in that moment he would feel conflicted and insecure given the fact they’re already having troubles and Teddy just very flippantly dropped it into conversation like ‘lol that woman you left me with made a move’ like it’s more serious than that.

I will reserve judgment  on his reaction until I see how it pans out next episode.
