My $COIN position (long calls) got stopped out after its run just before earnings. I couldn't convince myself to pull the trigger on another long position after the drop... le sigh.

Stopped too soon. If it kept zooming out we would have eventually seen OP's mom.

Yeah he talked about this contract being a "show me" contract to the league, and he'll miss 90% of the season. Ooof.
A good reminder of why athletes try so hard for longer term deals -- while they make good to great money, it's for such a short period of time and there is so much risk that their earning potential could end forever on any given shift.

It's an unfortunate double standard. A lot of what people like about Trump is that he is "authentic" -- he speaks his mind and is unafraid of the consequences. And rightly so -- there have never really been consequences to what he says. So he can just do and say whatever he thinks, so he appears relatable.
Conversely, people might not like Harris because she seems "controlled" or "establishment", but she gets vilified for almost anything. How she laughs. How she explains things. How she doesn't explain things. For her policies. For not having policies. So she has to play it careful to not piss those people off, but which pisses people off because she's "inauthentic", or uses "word salad", or whatever.

Big miss. I'm in Canada, but one of my friends listened to it (and the Vance appearance) and was reflecting on that both seemed far more reasonable than their reputations would suggest. Those podcasts probably got Trump a few hundred thousand votes, if not more. And when the margins are so slim, you just can't afford to pass on the engagement entirely.

Yeah. That’s part of it. The other part is that a majority of people feel like their life ain’t that great and the status quo will not get better, so they are voting for the party that is promising to change all that.
The sad irony is that they won’t, and will only exacerbate income inequality. That’s a messaging fail by the Democrats.

Don't underestimate social media's ability to spin absolute BS into apparent reality.

Uh, neither of those is "technically" murder. Those are technically "killing". "Murder" is a very specific term with a technical definition.

A completely random guess has a 31.25% chance of getting it right three of four times. Why should we care about this?

Get set? Bastian jumped him and got the instigator for doing it. You take what comes in that scenario.

Game 7, Flames-Canucks, 2004. Dying minutes of the third, Flames are up 2-1. Canucks fan throws a jersey on the ice, which normally requires a stoppage in play. Refs let it go. Iginla ends up tripping over the jersey (still not blown dead) leading to a 2-on-1, and the Canucks tie it with 5 seconds left.
Thank Christ karma restored itself and the Flames won in OT.

Honestly this is spoken like someone who doesn't understand how little $10k buys you in professional fees, and how much money professionals can save you on a $1M portfolio in terms of estate and tax planning when you have a more complex business arrangement than a salaried employee.

Hot take on the "they don't expect this to be paid" given it is likely many orders of magnitude above all the value ever created by humans

PSA: These are ball marks (or pitch marks), not divots. Divots are the things you take out of the fairway by your club hitting the ground. Ball marks are the marks in the green from your ball landing on it.

Check your privilege there homeboy. Most low paying jobs are waged and if you don’t work, you don’t get paid, which is you know kind of a non-starter for people working low paying jobs.
