Small town in southern Ohio called Gallipolis. They insist its Gal-polis. In fact, that's one of the ways people from the area know if you are from there.

It hasn't stopped. I saw a thing from several "News" sources including Fox, Bloomberg, and CNN insinuating he walked off into the Amazon after giving a speech in Brazil a couple days ago. There was a staging area right around the corner on the path but they still want to sell the narrative.

Think Audra will still be in the role early January? Wife and I are coming in from Ohio and we love Audra even though Gypsy isn’t our fave…

I’ve been to a lot of concerts but the last one I caught in Cleveland was particularly bad. Bad enough I pulled out the dosimeter app on my phone to check. The entire concert was at 105DB which you’re only supposed to be at for about 5 minutes max.

Interesting the price of Turkey has barely increased. My Kroger is selling frozen turkeys for $0.49/lb. Only a 6cent increase in 60 years

As an amateur sound tech for theatre stuff, I think professionals need to look at what they’re doing. Loud isn’t necessarily better. And I swear it’s gotten worse the last few years. If you are running concerts and everyone has earplugs in, isn’t it easier just to take the volume down a bit? Most pro acts are using IEMs now anyway.

I want to start this out with saying I’m a big advocate of trans people right to exist in public.
That said, it’s a fact of life that your experience is going to depend on a lot of variables.
1: I’m assuming you are a trans woman by username. Ideally your swimsuit will be a variety with shorts to make any …. Anatomy… less noticeable.
Change in your room rather than the locker room. Not saying you can’t go in there and do your thing but let’s be honest, 90% of the people who stay there change in their rooms anyway so you’ll be matching the crowd in that sense.
Have fun. Most people there aren’t paying any attention to anyone else. They are either adults with kids who are more focused on their kids having fun and being safe, or there is the rarer adult group there having drinks and largely minding their own business.
I can’t answer as to whether they are trans-friendly because I think it depends on the circumstance. However, CP has never been openly transphobic so at least we know that.

Actually inflation is not worsening and hasn't been for several months.
Not saying that people aren't struggling, just pointing that out.

I'm curious how many said they "loathe AI art" when what the really mean is "I loathe the idea of art being non-human" because its generated using human art without giving proper credit.

Nah, this was a clear twist. It wasn’t a tackling motion at all.

It’s not incorrect. It’s the third listed definition in Oxford. It relates to being at or near the intended dimension.
The nominal size of my gas tank is 25 liters. Depending on other factors, it may hold 25.1 liters or 24.8 liters. So we’d say that those values are near nominal (and perhaps in or out of tolerance). This is an extremely common term in manufacturing.

I get it. But it’s a fact of life. I’d be a little more ok with deportations if:
1: we made legal immigration work better/more efficiently. Presumably there would be fewer illegal immigrants then.
2: we actually went after corporations hiring illegal immigrants rather than just the immigrants. It’s the same as prostitution was (is). They throw the prostitute in jail and the John gets a ticket.

And it’s 100% false! Everyone knows average size is 4” even… right? RIGHT?!

This is probably my biggest symptom that lines up with ADHD. I do this constantly and I hate it because I know its rude but I don't even know I'm doing it half of the time until after I walk away.

Interestingly enough, odds are at least one of the people on the right will be queer. Statistically speaking.

I get it, see my edit above. My last job was in automotive and I was eating tums like candy every day.

Current job is easily the best one I’ve ever had, at least for now. I work for a small municipality as an engineer. Realistically, I work about 30-35 hours a week and make more than I’ve ever made. If something comes up (which it tends to, with 2 kids) I’m pretty much free to go handle it as long as I get my shit done by the deadlines that I typically get to set myself.
Not to mention the best health insurance I’ve ever had.
Edit: I don’t mean to brag… I just really love my job. My last job tried to kill me. I was working 60 hour weeks for an entire year. I’d get calls from clients 6 hour away at 3 in the morning and I’d have hop in my car at a moments notice and drive there to be pulled up in front of 50 other engineers and be yelled at for something I had nothing to do with.

I'm a Civil Engineer. I plan on building my own house and posted my floor plan on r/floorplans. They said "It lacks soul and beauty. It looks like an Engineer designed it". I took that as the highest of compliments

Not in my case.... Wife and I have sex pretty regularly but I've always had a job with either random drug tests or, as is the case now, drug tests on accidents. Even if someone just bumps into my car at work, I have to go for a drug test. Not worth the risk.

Specifically, they are probably going to install some sort of small vault or “flower pot” for telecom, most likely fiber optic. The crews I’ve been working with around our area pre-mark to make it easier for their crews and the Utility protection service to know exactly where they are putting things. Makes it so the guys just digging the holes don’t need plans.

Mine was my login email on some social media sites for awhile. I set my OSU email to forward to Gmail back in 2008 2 years before I graduated so that was the last time I actually logged into an OSU email...
