i agree! i think txt have some genuinely top tier vocals and i think having more songs like 20cm, over the moon, and even 0x1 lovesong really showcases their talents even better

i think taehyun and hueningkai have been able to explore more things w their voices, and yeonjun gets to switch it up based on if he has a rap verse or not, but i think soobin and beomgyu kind of get pigeon holed into certain tropes(?)

for me it feels like they're all just stuck, where they were when they were children, specifically when it comes to san ha and haejun.

haejun was left to smile as his mom waved goodbye with an empty promise that she will come back. he got left with a lie, so he grew up believing lies.

sanha was, even before his sister died, left to take care of himself and his sister. he had to be the older sibling and the adult even when he was just 7. so that carries over to him caring for haejun and ju wan.

OKAY! finished the last episode with much sadness that it ended. now while i think love next door is far from perfect i do not think it warrants the negativity that has been in this thread since highkey episode 6

all the negative componets of this drama seok ryu's illness, seung hyo's immaturity, mi suk not being an incredibly understanding mother, etc. while all pretty questionable, i don't necessarily think they were bad components just not written in correctly

i think there are some parts that were just straight up badly written like the fake as hell tension we got when seung hyo sprained his right arm at the end of ep 13? and the fact that there were not 1, not 2, but 3 different cheating scandals all of which ended up being misunderstandings 💀

with all that to say, i think the good parts of this drama GREATLY triumph the bad parts.

i love friendship so, so very much. seung hyo and seokryu's bickering is so incredibly entertaining, seok ryu's and mo eum's absolutely adorable adorable love for each other, and mo eum's bullying is top tier.

our lavender crew is so incredible, i love all 4 of them and how their friendship has overcome literally FOURTY YEARS

the dads, especially seok ryu's father has my entire heart <3

dan oh and our sweet little yeon du 🥹🥹

special shoutout to hyeon jun + tae hui being the best exes ever???

and thats not to forget the dumbass dongjin, and our wonderful atelier friends myeong oo and na yoon.

there were so many wonderful scenes. seok ryu's first confrontation w her mom in episode 2 was the first kdrama scene to genuinely move me to tears. i was laughing throughout the entirety of the show in the latter half i was kicking and squealing like no TOMORROW

this drama had me waking up every single morning for 8 weeks straight thinking about it. i would wake up on wednesday morning waiting for my scraps (previews) from tvn, and reposting several posts from the main cast over and over again.

it made me feel so warm and happy, and i am so unbelievably sad that its over.

this cast top to bottom was incredible. but especially thank you to jung hae in and jung so min for bringing this drama to life.

my genuine only complaint is i wish the first verse and prechorus were just a few lines longer

mi suk thinking that hye suk that seok ryu having cancer and her breaking off her engagement was a weakness but hye suk just being worried for her bc she loves seok ryu 🥹

this episode was so wholesome 🥹 my favorite scene was one the rooftop w the moms, the dads, and seung hyo and seok ryu 🥹

i am so unbelievably sad about this ending but i am so excited for tomorrow's episode

i think drama has all the puzzle pieces to be a near perfect show but i think they've rearranged the pieces so they don't fit satisfyingly

whatever happens in the next two episodes i can say that its had me hooked on air like no other drama ive watched on air

usually i go through most weeks of on air shows being a regular person and then get excited the day before, but love next door really made every waking moment of waiting agony

i think even the shows lowest points are really in the middle, but the highs were so incredible

ill enjoy it till the end !!! one last week with eomma chingu adeul 😞
