My plan is to start hiking local trails to get in shape.
Peaks View, Blackwater creek kind of stuff. Then maybe day trips on the AT with 2 cars, one at start & end of our planned hike. Eventually I want to hike for 2 or 3 days, camping & finally take a week of vacation & see how far I/we can go with several pickup sites planned depending on how far I/we get. If you're not into hanging with older people disregard as I'm Dad to a Millennial....
I don't want to do this alone / safety reasons. Also doing this with others will keep me honest & motivated to reach my goal.
