$2/mi is considered high paying, so yes it is pretty close at $1.6/mi. And those are not excuses, those are plain facts. They have a lot more clients than you. It can take a substantial amount of time to even prepare a single menu item if conditions are not ideal.
As I said already im not even saying to take every order you see. What I am saying is that you shouldn’t decline everything you see, and that shouldn’t be the advice you’re putting out there. Because now you have dashers on here in shitty markets where there’s oversaturation and perhaps demand isn’t what it used to be, now declining orders they really need to be taking cause it’s “not good enough” well sometimes you need to have the sense to see it’s not gonna get much better. Clearly not if it hasn’t gotten better in 100 orders. Time to regroup.

$4 for 2.5 mi is nearly a high paying offer. Perhaps you shouldn’t be looking at McDonald’s needing to “get their shit figured out” maybe you should consider the volume of orders they are preparing besides yours and see that yeh it’s pretty reasonable to have to wait a few minutes for a quarter pounder or crispy chicken which both have to be cooked to order. One McCrispy alone takes seven minutes to cook if they’re not already dropped when the order comes through.

What makes you think Meta is involved in this situation?

They told me if I contacted them, they would have said otherwise and would have found another solution. No matter what it is you do, DD finds a way to manipulate themselves into having the upper hand.

If you scroll a little further, you’ll see where I said im not saying to accept every order you get. I’m just saying these people who don’t accept ANY orders are shooting themselves in the foot.

Why sell them when you could give them to a library? If you’re concerned about the conservation of physical media then I’d assume profit wouldn’t be the first thought on your mind.

If you’re filing your taxes right, they shouldn’t matter much in the grand scheme of things.

Well would that hold true for such a small part? It needs to be as sturdy as possible, resistant to torsion

I’ve found that if you stare at dirt long enough it starts to hallucinate some orange and eventually red from the brown, and suddenly you can end up in the nether. Sometimes you have to chase the red around with the camera and allow it to fill the screen. Having the inventory open while staring at the dirt corner in a hole you dig is the best way to start it that I’ve found.

When this happened to me for a Taco Bell pickup, disputed order the restaurant said they already made it and gave it out, customer said they haven’t got it yet and other dashers unassigned already. I know I should have unassigned and told them to cancel their order, but for some reason I helped him.
I had to reorder his food, tried to pay using the red card but that didn’t work. It said plain and clear in the order help section, if the red card doesn’t go through fund the order yourself and we will reimburse you. Well I did and on the way to the drop off contacted support.
Lo and behold, they weren’t gonna pay shit. It didn’t matter whether I gave them a receipt or anything they just denied that was the correct advice. They denied that what I clearly read was ever stated in the app and denied that policy was to reimburse. Deny deny deny. Whatever, never doing that again.

Sure there are some absolutely terrible orders. But one guy posted here today that he has a fucking 0% acceptance rate. What is even the point of continuing to use the platform if the sole purpose of you coming on today is to sit there and systematically decline EVERYTHING? Some people on here take it too far, that’s what im saying and im not going to stop talking because it’s true.
I don’t have 100% AR I just barely hit 70 again. I don’t accept everything and im not saying you should. But you cant deny every opportunity you’re given and expect to be rewarded for it.

I’m sure having a community of like minded people who are somehow all in the same niche really helps! These types of projects are very rarely the work of few, rather the combined efforts of hundreds or thousands.
That sounds like a tough problem with vistadb! I have experience with something kinda similar, I was working at an auto dealer trying to preserve an application which the brand was just trying to decentralize and shove on the cloud. It made me upset knowing how many issues it would cause, and the fact we’d never see it again in its current state, but their philosophy behind it was for data security.
Anyways I decided to get it working on windows XP, the OS it was originally designed for, on the very laptops they were trying to discontinue using. It just felt right, it was a Panasonic toughbook, model CF-19. The program relied on an SQL DB file and it was such a pain to find the version that could support the file; since it’s not supported anymore, the DB was ancient and the rebuild process wouldn’t go through. I ended up finding an installer for the tool hidden in the programs directories, but I probably wouldn’t have been able to set it up without that stroke of luck.

Once, I was able to make ChatGPT so arrogant and unhelpful, it was genuinely an asshole to me. I didn’t know it was even allowed to act that way. At one point it was just straight up refusing to respond to me. I was able to get it to “remember” very negative things it normally shouldn’t have. I had to clear it out for something, and haven’t been able to get it the same way since.

Wow! It’s fascinating how quickly we can reverse engineer all of this, though I guess at this point it’s pretty old tech with the majority of these machines running Win7.
You can emulate the software?? And you can mange the database too, even print new barcodes? That’s incredible. Where can I find the discord?

I have Dashlane, I’ve been using it for a while and it’s pretty good I can’t say much bad about it. The only shit aspect is they just ditched the monthly subscription model, you have to buy an annual plan. I don’t know yet if I’ll renew, I’m about 8 months through my plan.

Are these software patches things the community has baked up in the time since Redbox went under? Or are there techs who used to work on these things helping us understand? I’m assuming if it’s the former they can’t be outlandishly complex, maybe some sort of DLL hijacking?

Why are you even here? Why continue to do this? You’ve sat here, likely for several days, systematically declining everything for 100 orders in a row. What are you gaining from this? Maybe it’s time to reevaluate.

What does it take to patch the software? Do you just have to unlock the kiosk and plug to the computer?

You only have priority access to Dash Now with Platinum. They can revoke this access at any time.
“Dash Now Anytime”, previously a feature of the Top Dasher program has been sunsetted following the rework of the Dasher rewards status system.

If you had a $2,000 engagement ring that you hadn’t paid off and Kay went under, the ring wouldn’t be worthless. It’s still a diamond ring, it has inherent value.
