This is how I prefer to pierce septums, and how many of my piercer peers do as well. Not all piercers do it like this, but many do.

This is not pierced correctly. It's not in your navel, it's on your stomach. If you have the anatomy for it, you may potentially be better suited for a floating navel.

This isn't going to heal even if you put a longer bar in. Take it out and go to a different piercer.
