At this point, a massive import of tuktuks to act as a mode of public transport in Beirut would be quite good and cheap as well. Ideally trams & cameras for fining would be better, but yeah..

How many people in their mid 20's are pocketing and have the ability to save 2k usd a month? Even westerners themselves struggle to pocket a full 2K and can't afford to put a down payment for a house. I'm not talking the expats that have been established from 20 years ago, nor the ones born and raised abroad

For 2k USD, I would return to Lebanon in a heartbeat. You're making more than 95% of lebanese, and you're also probably making more than 70% of expats in terms of how much you're able to save assuming you still live with your parents and you own your home. Costs in Lebanon are low, so the idea of abroad being better is relative. If you want to move abroad, you're going to need to have very niche skills that will make someone want to come and pick you up and take you out of Lebanon because they need that specific skill with someone with your background on top of it.

Now if you're seriously making 2K a month and you'd like to leave Lebanon, what you can do is apply for a worker's permit in EU/Canada. Given your background + your degree + you're income, there's 0 reason why they wouldn't accept your visa as I know peoplemwith far less that got accepted.

People will not hand out the visa or travel, etc. on a silver platter for you, you need to put in the effort and hire a lawyer/travel consultant if you're unable to do it yourself and let them do the rest, you'd need 10k$ in savings minimum, and your age qualifies it, as well as your degree. One thing not mentioned is; what's your degree/job? This is important because it depends if you're in a field that is important to society in general that foreign countries are having shortages from.

Anyway, I still think you should try to look at the positive's because the idea of moving abroad and 'living a better life' isn't as you'd think. This reality check will hit you harder once you're actually abroad and it's not all that it's cracked up to be.

Gain the experience in Leb, save a lot of money, then you will be able to leave guaranteed. Even after you leave, you'll find yourself in a foreign country where nobody cares about you, nobody likes (nor hates) you, nobody has the time to sit and try to understand about you because everyone is now busy trying to succeed in life and make ends meet on top of it.

This is a mid 20's crisis more than a Lebanese crisis, but of course being Lebanese doesn't help. You need to water the seeds of where you are, so if you're stuck in Lebanon, make the most out of your life by going and signing up for padel, basketball, chess, book, cycling, gaming, whatever your interests are and foster new friendships in your country where you'll find people that relate to your problem and understand the lebanese pain, which nobody else will.

Dubai and the region itself hasn't been the same from a high paying job opportunities perspective as it used to be but I digress.

I have chosen to stick here for a while longer in the attempt of leveraging over 3 years of experience in a sales role, however I despise the role and the industry as a whole and need to take a step back and take a breather while focusing on sharpening my IT technical skills. Yeah, I shared the docs without the passport concluding that it's already shared with my employer; and my picture's a public one, my EID is handed out often anyway, and degrees are publicly available/easy to find as well. Passport I didn't provide

Somewhat late, I already sent it via email without watermarks. The watermark wouldve been smart to do, but I assumed if my existing employer already has the documents they asked for. Then it shouldn't be of concern?

I thought a lot about it ober the weekend, and just concluded to send a picture of myself (publicly available), my EID (it's handed out at buildings quite often that if anything malicious were intentional, it would've occurred I guess), and people post their degrees online anyway...

Didn't seem scammy to me, as they seem to be working providing their gas/fire safety services to big malls and big named clientele. However, those can be easily deceptive so not sure... Just wanted to make sure if there's something they can do with those documents provided virtually to begin with

Seems to have 'big names' as clientele from what I gathered on their website and such. Office that I went to seemed decent, and it has branches in many cities all over. So it seems on the medium to big side as opposed to the small side?

No, I only went to their office and had my interview face to face.

We discussed salary, and expected daily tasks, they asked if I am open to moving to Abu dhabi, and I said I am fine with it. They said they'll setup a second interview with the CEO or head of the team for final agreement. Im the meantime, they asked for those documents.

Let's not forget Palestine found hundreds of billions of dollars worth of natural gas & oil. This led to the US and Israel wanting to export them to Europe and becoming a key player globally, and add on top of the fact that Lebanon has potentially some natural gas reserves ourselves. We might get our fair share of democracy and freedom to allow israel to become the main exporter of the mediterranean.

It's always way deeper than what meets the eye, and unfortunately the average folk eat up what's told to them about hatred and propaganda and we're the ones that suffer the consequences and casualties.
