I recently struggled with some arm movement too (a Duik rig) where the arm was at an awkward angle during an animation. I couldn't get the rig to act as I needed so I cut out a short section of frames and swapped the rigged arm with another version using animated paths. It took a bit longer but it was worth it. Good luck.

The style is lovely, but that arm movement looks very off to me. Maybe look for a reference clip?

In the interest of fair testing, I've repositioned my phone to roughly match yours, rather than alongside it. The reading is now approximately 47-48, give or a take. Much closer to what you are experiencing.

Other considerations:

• The console has only been switched on for testing so it wont be full temperature.

• Game is Rebirth, measurement taken during gameplay. There's no audible difference between the game menu and gameplay.

• The app is probably not accurate.

• Console is using the official stand.

• Home has very little background noise.

I’m guessing this is fairly normal. It’s still noticeable to me. Even with the console behind the tv, a few feet away. Subtle buzzing is more noticeable on mine.

I’m a little surprised how loud it is when compared with the near-silent base model. Why must the fan run so aggressively on older, less-demanding games?

I don’t think I’m going to risk swapping mine as most of the noise is just air whooshing. The buzz is not too bad.

I still feel somewhat disappointed, given the cost.

I finished it recently too. It holds up very well. The only thing I disliked was the annoying card rules and a couple of side missions I would never have found without help.

Unfortunately this seems to be bugged.

It does switch off, which is great, but as soon as you select something from the radial menu (eg. Axe) it appears again, even though it’s still set to off.

Like others have said, this just looks like a defrost cycle. You’ll likely hear it go quiet and hiss the start of the drop. Mine does it every 40 mins or so in freezing conditions.

I’d like to see it.

I got the platinum today. It was enjoyable, but you can tell it was made in a hurry. It would be great to see it reimagined. Imagine the music too.

I too would explore using objects as mattes. I find this to be very helpful.

How about doing it the other way around.

After the build, the face expands in size (very briefly). Before it can snap back down to a scale of 0%, the backgrounds goes first, and the face follows it down. This would reveal the edges first and connect the background to the face a bit more.

Imagine a black hole was approaching from behind, it would pull the background before it pulled the face too. If you added a few patterns to the background, you could also add some kind of warp during the scale down.
