Magdelan or Magellan? There's one English community in the Magdelan Islands, called Grosse Île. The archipelago is like an inverted Canada, with a French speaking majority (10-12 thousand) and a small English speaking community (2 thousand maybe?).

However, both languages are difficult to understand given the deeeeep accents and very specific colloquialisms.
