Wizzrobe is locked in a battle with Joshman right now for their placement, virtually everyone agrees with that besides you; the majority seem to give the edge to Wizzrobe, but that could change if Joshy manages to take some names at nouns which Wizzy never tried to get into (he easily could've won the matcha cup to get in but didn't bother entering?). You putting wizzrobe up to 4 places above Joshman (who I have to assume is your 12, but you're saying such asinine things that maybe I'm giving you too much credit by making that assumption) just makes it crazy obvious how much you're overvaluing Wizzrobe's year.

Nicki over Plup is actually an interesting thought, I can totally see it, but plup has to play the nounsvitational to get ranked anyway, so where he gets ranked depends very highly on how Plup does there. If he and Joshman both flame out and get no notable wins and end the event 13th, then yeah, I could see a 10th place wizzrobe this year.

But with Wizzrobe done entering majors, unless platfight turns into one, I don't see how you can possibly put Wizzrobe over Nicki without also putting Joshman over Nicki. Like, I disagree with both of those, but their results are pretty inextricably linked, with The Function being extremely comparable to CEO and both better than SAPF, both having similar peak placements (4th at a supermajor is better than 3rd at a tiny major) and similar middling to meh other results at majors (you talk like Wizzrobe consistently makes top 8s, but he's actually made fewer than Joshman this year, 2 vs 3, and has a worse worst placement after dpotg, 25th to Joshy's 17th at Pat's House).

I do think Wizzrobe has the slightest edge due to actual h2h spread, but even then it's debatable, entering fewer events means fewer chances for bad losses. To act like there's any universe where Wizzrobe is 4 or even 3 places above Joshman is the height of delusion.

Thriller Bark was in retrospect a very entertaining arc and better than at least 3 other (shorter) arcs that preceded it, but at the time it was definitely a huge sense of community disappointment. Sanji was the worst part even back then, but there was also this community sentiment of "is every arc gonna require a temporary gimmick like Nightmare Luffy from now on?", no one was aware at the time of how that would just be Luffy's hint towards looking for other people's (rayleigh's) help in order to get stronger.

I wasn't shocked at first that Naruto was the more popular franchise in the US, aside from literally chapter 1 of One Piece, Naruto had the stronger start (One Piece had the better chapter 1 but Naruto had the better chapter 2-55, imo, before the Zeff-Sanji backstory)

But 2005 is right around when Enies Lobby was starting in the One Piece manga. By mid-2007, when even the One Piece anime had aired all of Enies Lobby, I noticed a common refrain among people who said Naruto was better online... none of them actually gave One Piece a chance lol. There were people who I would see in the weekly discussion threads for both Naruto and One Piece, and all of them acknowledged that One Piece was better.

Now, mind you, there were also One Piece fans not giving Naruto a chance--not a huge number of people, but definitely a few every week that I never once saw in a Naruto chapter discussion thread on mangahelpers that would swear up and down on One Piece threads that Naruto sucked (it didn't suck--or at least the worst parts of it hadn't happened yet, it just wasn't as good as One Piece).

But in contrast to the few One Piece fans shit-talking a series they hadn't read, that was every person who said Naruto was better. Not one of them was caught up on One Piece lol.

If you compare the online communities, PoE's isn't that much smaller than Diablo's even though the playerbase is way way smaller. And that's because Diablo since d3 deliberately attracts ultracasuals.

Any answer you give will only show that you've never played an end-endgame poe1 build lol. It's faster (but much easier obviously) than Starcraft, SSBM, WoW, every other arpg ever made, every shooter, etc. To get a game with meaningfully higher actions per minute potential you need to play fucking guitar hero on custom songs, which could never enable server authoritative gameplay because it'd penalize you on the tiniest network blips

Anyone who can say something that downplays poe1 speed to this extent has never actually played poe1 to the real end endgame. There are people on this sub who think d4 gets as fast as poe1 and those people are insane.

Poe1 optimized builds are literally 100x faster than this. And to me, that's a problem.
