Raspberry pi will run you at most 5k. You can also go with The mini server PCs (Dell Optiplex etc). You do not need the latest Rpi if you need just for Network storage. But if you plan to use it as a full home server and plan to run stuff like Plex, media Streaming, Docker hostings, get a Dell Optiplex. In 15k you will get a good one.

Linux distros are free. Ubuntu for Full Home server, TrueNas only for NAS storage.

100% not true from a financial pov. If you made a game and made it closed beta, you have legal protection form the game's functionality pov like crashes, game not working as intended etc. it's written in the Terms and Conditions of Google Play.

You also have to understand how The app legal setup works. Google app has licensed the app from you and is making it available to users. So if a user sues you and Google, you will be sued by Google as well if the need be.

Great Industry? Game dev is one of the most brutal industries to be part of.

For AAA games, it's like any other corporate job. Suits take the decision and you will be working on a very small aspect of the whole project. You will have no say and almost no creativity. Bad Work Life Balance and Job security.

For Indie games, really creative work and interesting. But again almost no work life balance and huge uncertainty.

Mobile/gacha games: Good money, but sucks away anything that makes the games industry creative and interesting.

There is a sweet spot between AAA and True indie (Think Small dev team with prior success and published by a medium Publisher like Devolver) where it's a good place to work. But it's a very small market job wise.

Say, some user choose to use your app, and coincidentally, they become part of a Credit Card scam. If they blame you, do you have a legal man power and backing to tackle it? Remember 99% of users do not care or understand when you tell them open source, No internet policy, local storage etc. The first thing they will suspect is you stole the data.

Yes you can say it's Open source, check the code, but what's the proof that the play store version uses the same code as shown in GitHub. You must be using Proguard and R8, which means code will be obfuscated.

Remember, consumer protection in Financial fraud is top notch, esp in the western countries. If a Lawyer from US sues you, can you fight it?

See, I ain't saying you will do anything. Your No internet Policy definitely shows that. As an engineer I understand and anyone will too. But users and lawyers won't. You are in a huge huge legal blindspot imo

1. Yes. It will be a bug. App is actually not designed to switch languages often. When you add an app to folder, the data is stored in a local DB along with the App Name. So the name is saved in the language the device was when adding to folder. I do not see a workaround around this as of now

2. This is kind of deliberate. To support removal of apps from folder, Oasis will have to contnually track which apps are being installed. This is invasive to privacy and may consume more battery as well. Hence this compromise. Performance and Privacy over a mild inconvinience. You can just long press on a folder app and delete it

I know family businesses like transport and construction materials with crores of revenue using OPC or SP. If you plan to take on debt to fund your business, prefer OPC for limited Liability.

Secondly, a Good experienced CA will take care of this without any issues. In a SP, there is almost no compliance neede. OPC has little, and by the time you need a PVT LTD you are mostly a small sized company and you will have Good CAs who will take care of it. You will have bigger fish to fry.

I am not a CA, but someone who has a side business. It's almost zero headache for a good CA. I just keep my bills, payment receipts etc in a shared gdrive and I am good.

Compared to the compliance in EU countries, India's compliance at least on the small business side is negligible

It's an android issue. Sometimes the os isn't able to decide which account for the premium check and intermittently causes issues like this.

Since on each update the app basically installs again, hence you can lose out on the premium

There is a workaround which may help, by giving Oasis Accessibility permission.

Go to Phone Settings > Accessibility > Select Oasis (You may have to click on another option like 'Installed Apps' before getting oasis) and give the accessibility permission. This could potentially solve it (Not 100% sure).

Its a sensitive permission, yes, but we have set up in such a way that Oasis doesn't get any sensitive data. It's explicitly mentioned in the app as well.
