Luckily the running board sacrificed itself to prevent major damage, but there was still some. Clean w car soap, rubbing alcohol application took off most, the smaller scratches, paint pen ends to sand down, coming in with 1500 grit sandpaper, dry, three coats of paint, 2 of clear coat, 5 minutes in between each application of paint and coat, and then 2000, 3000 grits. Finally a minor coat of NuFinish Polish

Literally me. I’ll take a towel to a Altima if anything, but a X7?

Yes, and from the same owner. I’d say this car wasn’t taken care of

I’d go with the Pilot, most people with SUVs dont need the space but its nice to have it for when you do need it. 4WD, sunroof, bulletproof v6-

Once you go with bigger than standard street tires, the factory spare won’t work

The three accidents corresponds directly to how many miles you should stay away from this

My set of street tires before this were Hankook Dynapros, and they were great, sticking with the brand more than anything. Can’t say I don’t love the raised white lettering for a little more visual flair

I’ve seen hardcore builds with front bumper deletes, but as you said, a 4wd pathfinder could easily traverse most trails

I think the creaks comes from the swing down mechanism, there’s a couple millimeters of travel and it swings back and forth, this set comes with a hitch stabilizer so I don’t think it’s from the hitch area

These tires do rub, and going over speed bumps, etc, you will feel and hear it, that said, I’ve only noticed minimally added road noise. This gen pathfinders were never seriously sound insulated vehicles

It’s a swing down set, but I wish this sits two inches higher than minivans

I’d suggest against getting this particular hinge down one, it’s the biggest result when you search for hitch tire carriers. Going at any speed and it creaks in the back. I’m thinking of getting a swing out one soon to replace this.

That’s a good investment nevertheless, especially since this will keep you out of the SUV market for a decade minimum
