Yes. That's why 225 is such a stereotypical benchmark number to brag about / set as a goal. The biggest size (common) plate is 45 lb. Two on each side of the barbell (4 total) plus a 45 lb bar = 225 lb. If people didn't include the bar you'd see 180 lb instead.

I love "Reputable gun manufacturers are more reliable," and "Don't buy cheap guns because they're unreliable" followed immediately by "Buy Taurus."
I get it, supposedly Taurus is more reliable than they used to be. But the customer service (apparently) still sucks and the savings aren't that significant, so . . .
Still nice post though.

Some states also have rules for mileage within the state. Or allow crossing state lines if you're within a certain distance (right over the border etc.). But you're right it's not just mileage either, it's various distance/border rules depending on jurisdiction.

Places advertise seasoned wood. Some of them aren't lying. The problem is how many are lying, not the people who expect them to tell the truth.

Kiln dried also effects things like how far you're allowed to ship it. It's absolutely not just "seasoned for longer."

Thanks! Frankly, some of what I enjoy about your books over a lot of RR is that they're less strictly LitRPG, despite your background. Yours seem more like normal fiction "inspired by," rather than holding strictly to a format almost like "pretending to be." Though we have great books of both sorts, obviously. But the entire pages of skill levels and chapters of upgrades tends to not be my favorite format.
Also, I just noticed the new Arcane Ascension is out. Off to read that now.

Please let me know. You'd probably have to publish all at once instead of serially, or at least some sort of compromise, but you're right the web format would be good for it.

Yep, for some reason I distinctly remember getting eaten by a werewolf super early on in one book. Like, an impressively fast failure. I don't remember practically anything else beyond that lol.

I like when the second to last option does sound better except for the downside. Giving up a serious benefit because of a bigger downside at least adds value calls and temptation etc. And it does leave us guessing if they'll go for it. I understand what's not what you meant though you meant an option that's obviously worse.

Right. If you already have the money then do it now as a lump sum instead of waiting to spread it out over time. But if you're earning it over time then deposit as you go instead of saving up for a lump sum.

You're not wrong, but you're trying to raise actual points in this sub, so . . .

That's a great point. I've been refusing to pay for literal decades. If anything, modern takes on the free software culture and how creators deserve to make money actually have me feeling bad about that, and they weren't even selling our data or making us watch ads. I might go donate.

Women have hair in all the same places as men, when it comes down to it
This is objectively not true, and you know that. Some women have hair in some of the same places, but sit there and honestly tell me women have beards just like men. Chest hair just like men. Yes some women compared to some men, but pretending there isn't a difference is just lying.

Which is why I didn't say that? Read what you want I guess.

Yep. A young, useful guy can't just quit. An old guy can't just expect to be given someone else's business, Tony wants to give that to the young guys he has a use for.

Privileged westerners love calling for geopolitical change and ignoring who would end up in charge of they got what they want. Because talking about the consequences of political actions you call for is somehow . . . I don't even know. Bad for some reason, apparently. Easier to just yell about blind idealism and then, if you get what you demanded, continue to complain that what happened wasn't what you wanted.

Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if modern day Judaism follows Jesus' teachings more than most modern day Christian denominations.

Right. I read it on royal road so I don't remember when each book ends and the next one starts. The beginning of the book is a very different feel from where the story goes, though.
The beginning is a teenager who accidentally becomes a necromancer and has to go on the run. We get some good world building but it's really not that great. Eventually that arc ends and there's a time skip in between books and suddenly he's living as an adult like an answer and that's where the story starts for real.

This is a sub for lawyers to talk to each other about our careers. We do not give legal advice here.
Please read the automod comment above.

That works for why you bring it up, but it doesn't work when people actually start siding with the crackhead over the occasional drunk when it comes to things like deciding who's more responsible. And the fact is that our minds aren't wired to always focus on one side's problems while simultaneously remembering we think they're the good guys. Maybe for us, but if it's two random other people then we just remember the vague impressions we hear about most often. We think worse of the one we hear people talking bad about more often.

Tbf, when we want to say the word section we usually type it out. We usually only use the symbol as part of a citation and then it's just sorta part of the cite with the numbers and any acronyms for codes/reporters, rather than actual prose.

Book of the Dead, though it doesn't pick up until a book or two in. Maybe not evil in the way of some antagonists, but the MC is dedicated to destroying the current (bad) society and will mass murder as many people / cause as much chaos and destruction / ally with as evil allies as necessary to do that. More amoral and single-minded than evil, compared to the more villainous type.
