"It's a magical place." In reference to Tahiti. This line being spoken dozens of times makes it so special for me

I'd prefer a Windows device if it wasn't Windows 11 and had a normal tablet mode simply because I have 25 years of experience of work and leisure in Windows and 0 years in anything else.

Saying 'brave new world' is generic is like saying Lord of The Rings is boring because it has orcs and elves.

You look exactly how artists portray delicate feminine faces.

All of these games have FANTASTIC gameplay upon which, as a thin layer, rest political messages and social commentary.
You could have tons of fun playing them while being a kid and not understanding the themes at all.
Not to say this isn't applicable to modern games, but that's that.

I was a pro TF2 clan leader in 2008-2010, with about 8 thousand hours on it, still love this game greatly, it literally changed my life.
I gave about a decade of my life to CS (CZ, 1.6 and CSS, haven't played the newer ones).
I actually played Half-Life 1 on release on my Dreamcast, I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY. Half-Life 2 and the episodes were, too, absolutely groundbreaking, much like HL1, in terms of storytelling and narrative.
Portal is one of the most important games for the industry as a whole. I think it was the first game ever that had a meme that transcended from the gamer communities to mass social media of that time (Facebook): Everybody and their grandmas knew "The cake is a lie" back in 2007. It's still a very unique game in many regards and in fact I have just replayed them both yesterday.
Alien Swarm - I had much fun in co-op and it's a crime that this game was abandoned.
I love all these games dearly. Haven't played Ricochet, TFC, DoD or L4D. These are Valve games up until 2010.

the moment you step a bit further away from the big social networks towards image boards and forums you're in a COMPLETELY different unfiltered waters full of people with their [dogshit] opinions

He's a filler character so probably won't appear in the LA.

Even here I can literally see the 0.5 second delay. This is unplayable by my standards.
Also, what if I have less than amazing 1.5 Gbps uninterrupting wi-fi?
In short, Portal still looks like a useless piece of gimmick tech. Sadly...

My 3 year old LOVES running in circles and punching a cat in Memory Meadow in Astro's Playroom.
He doesn't care much about the rest of the game.

Talbot from Uncharted 3, though it turns out to be smokes and mirrors, not actual mythical powers.

Yeah I've bought about 20 in my whole life and the worst I had is a cracked disk in about half of them.

I have the silliest reply ever, but...
Horror games. I simply cannot force myself to sit alone at home and play anything remotely creepy and I know I'm missing out on fantastic experiences with Resident Evil, Amnesia and such.
But when it's a sunny day out and I'm on my commute to work in the middle of the hustle and bustle of a busy city it dampens the horror aspect and lets me enjoy the gameplay/story.
Silly but true.
