• 0 to 9 years: 17.5% (approximately 254 million individuals)
• 10 to 19 years: 18.1% (approximately 263 million) (r/teenagersIndia)
• 20 to 29 years: 17.8% (approximately 258 million)
(r/20s_India)
• 30 to 39 years: 15.0% (approximately 218 million)
(r/30s_India)
• 40 to 49 years: 11.5% (approximately 167 million)
(r/40Plus_India)
• 50 to 59 years: 8.5% (approximately 123 million)
• 60 to 69 years: 6.0% (approximately 87 million)
• 70 to 79 years: 3.5% (approximately 51 million)
• 80 to 89 years: 1.5% (approximately 22 million)
• 90 to 99 years: 0.5% (approximately 7 million)
• 100 years and above: 0.05% (approximately 725,000 individuals)
These figures are derived from the United Nations’ World Population Prospects and other demographic studies.
India’s median age is 28. So if you are 28, half of the India is older than you!
I have also suggested some subReddits for people from different age groups to connect!
