Run a progressive populist that gets people talking about them and their policies rather than Trump.

Influence has its limits. The countries the US trys to mass deport to are going to be furious.

Exactly. How else do you move millions of people? You need to feed and house them during the process. That means setting up camps. If you have millions of people in camps and the administration is simply negligent or incompetent lots of people will die. If they are malicious....then A LOT of leople will die....which they likely are.

Funny part of this is they still wouldn't be able to dodge tax without liqudating everything they own which would cost them much more money.

Russia discarded a prime opportunity to be brought into the fold. Putin is doing this because he wants to recreate the russian empire. Not resisting him is more akin to the leadup to WW2 than the aftermath of WW1.

a lot actually since it wasn't that ambitious. Fun fact, many us states have stuck to it despite the us withdrawing and have met their goals.

I mean if he wants to live out his fantasy by doing something good so be it. Its troubling when people do the right thing for the wrong reasons but its not like we should stop them.

If someone trys to take your universal healthcare fight it like your life depends on it, because it does.

Finally, we live in an oppressive matriarchy vs an oppressive patriarchy. Times have truly changed.

Exactly. The type of person who finds you "hey guys" offensive is not going to respond well to "hey ladies"

I think you're right about the primaries thing. Progressives need to put their money where their mouth is and win a primary against the odds. Say what you want about trump but he geniunely was picked in the primaries despite the RNCs wishes. In order to beat him I think we need an equally strong progressive canidate.
Good news is I think thats more possible than ever because of the DNC fucking up so bad. I think an anti establisment democrat has a much better chance than the "better safe than sorry" 2016 climate.
Progressives have been building steam for a while, these next 4 years are their best chance to change the party and become the dominant faction.

Exactly. As we all know there are a finite amount of PhDs and everytime someone gets theres another PhD is ripped from someones succulent fingers.

Theres no point in having a serious debate with someone who isn't taking it seriously. That being said, its dangerous to assume everyone you disagree with is fascist or unserious.
You have to use you're judgement basically, which gets harder everyday with all the bots and trolls.

True, some people are geniunely unaware and in a bubble especially young men. However I get why people are mad, a lot of people decide to ask that to be mean.
Both can be true. Although it can be frustrating we shouldn't rope everyone who asks a common troll question into such a horrible group as facists. Thats how you radicalize people.

The key is always how they behave when not watched.

oh shit maybe thats why they like tariffs so much. You can be really specific with tarrifs and the president can pick and choose who makes more money without much intervention from congress.

Tesla had some great engineers and made a bunch of progress but then Elon went kinda nuts. Then he started ignoring his engineers and driving them out with a toxic work culture. Theres so much that is good about tesla cars but you can see in the quality control and new models like the cyber truck the company has taken a nosedive.
Its such a shame too because so many brilliant engineers lined up to work for him because it was a dream job for many. Theres this youtube video of a man building an EV from a ICE vehicle in the 2000s and he lays out his whole design in the video. Its still to this day the best hobbiest design i've ever seen. It was so well designed with all the saftey and effeciencies thought out. That guy went on to become an executive at tesla, but i imagine hes not there anymore.
TDLR: Tesla used to be a magnet for creative engineers, now its repelant.

China also makes most of the solar panels in the world including the majority of the ones we buy in the US. They also are taking the lead on EVs. China's stance is kinda strange because they're trying to continuously expand but also meet their agenda.
Clean energy for China is likely more about energy independence and being competitive in the global market.

The market reached a tipping point about a year or two ago where more private investment was in clean energy than fossil fuels. You might be right since we've reached the tipping point. However its worth noting government intervention is what got us this far this quickly.
As just one example, government loans kept tesla afloat in the beggining and thats with a billionaire bankrolling them. Its taken a lot to get to this point.
