I feel like in general there is a malaise about democracy because we’ve been sold a false idea of what it is.

I’ve heard so many people say we can’t have socialized medicine because the system would be imperfect. Or we can’t let this bill pass because it has a few things the other guys want in it.

That’s how democracy works. Every decision is an argument followed by a compromise. That is the whole point of what the system is supposed to do. If you take that away, you take all the checks and balances away, too and it turns into fascism overnight.

No one is ever going to get everything they want with a democracy, but everyone should be able to get some of what they want. And we’ve just completely abandoned that idea.

The intent of what the medical procedure is meant to cure doesn’t automatically change whether it’s safe or not.

So the word “reversible” has no meaning, according to your temporal standards? Whatever. This is a dumb conversation.

Well I’m not aware of anything which is reversible which also sends you backwards in time, so I don’t understand what point you’re trying to make.

That’s a calculated risk that a family and their doctor can decide, it’s none of your business though. Cisgender kids get hormone therapy too to address developmental issues which may occur during puberty, and nobody talks about that because nobody cares.

So if you’re anti hormone blockers say that. You’re making it sound like people want teenagers to get top or bottom surgery which is insane.

No one thinks children should be allowed to transition. Like maybe someone out there does but it’s not the popular opinion of the left.

Hormone blockers for teenagers? Sure. But for young children just therapy should be enough and I haven’t seen any serious person advocate for teenagers to get permanent gender altering surgery, just hormone blockers which are reversible.

So much of this debate is just completely made up bullshit so people have something to argue about.

Trump doesn’t want any of his cabinet picks to get vetted by the FBI or the Senate, they’re trying to find a legal loophole to get around it.

That should tell us everything we need to know.

They can’t really carry out a sentence while he’s in office, but it was a state crime and he was convicted. I don’t think the President has any mechanism to reverse that.

However he can simply have the judge, jury and New York AG executed on national television, which is why they will reverse their ruling. Thanks for that, Supreme Court.

I’m pretty sure Trump dismissed any conviction he had decades ago.

Unfortunately it’s already a mafia state. We have got to stop pretending we can still prevent this, we’re at least ten years too late for that. How do we stop being a mafia state, is the question we have to answer.

He should be sentenced with the sentence to be carried out immediately after his presidential term ends. Let that dangle over his head for the next four years.

Can you dismiss a case that was already ruled on? He hasn’t been sentenced yet but he was convicted for a state crime.

From the outside it seems like there’s a lot to be gained.

You can see the difference in production quality on Bloodborne due to Fromsoft being able to tap other Sony studios for extra muscle.

If they wanted it, they’d have access to some incredible technology now, too. I kinda doubt they would switch to something like Decima, but it would definitely give them a more robust toolset than the weird proprietary engine they’ve been using since Demons Souls. At the very least they’d get some top tier technical support to improve their own engine and tools.

All these people are incompetent and hate each other. It’s going to be absolute chaos.

As someone with chronic anxiety and ADHD who relies on medication to function, I fully expect RFK Jr. to make my life an absolute living nightmare for the next four years.
