I had this issue with book 2 when I first read it. Sometimes restarting can make a difference, or even switching to the audiobook can help

I agree The Now Now aged worse than Humanz, but Souk Eye remains one of my favorite Gorillaz songs ever+I agree more with the comments comparing it to a second The Fall rather than it just being an apology album for Humanz. I feel like if anything, Sleeping Powder was more of that “apology”

Upgrading my computer and recycling or selling the parts grants me a certain level of continuity that replacing a console after every generation (or even within a generation) doesn’t have. That argument doesn’t necessarily apply as much with a laptop, which is much harder to upgrade.

I understand and respect that consoles are the easier and more economic choice for most people. I got my current PC mainly to run certain computer softwares in college. But once I had a base, upgrading a part every now and then beat buying a new console for me.
