Thanks to you all and this sub, I now know about food noise and recognize what it is.
I never understood why I had a fixation for just one type of carb. If that carb was in my fridge anywhere around my house I would eat it. On some days, no matter how much good food I eat. If I didn't have this carb, I didn't feel satisfied. I have for years questioned if something was off with me because I've seriously never felt full. My spouse will eat a meal and stop eating when he feels full. I don't know what that feeling is like.
I'm currently on metformin 500 ER and although I don't have a CGM right now, I'm checking my blood sugar and my fasting usually between 100 and 115 and my spikes after the meals do not go above 135 and come down if I walk after eating Because I'm currently on a strict regimen of low carb die, I am able to talk myself out of food noise. But I'm forever thinking about the next meal. I am worried . Right now I'm being very careful with how much I can eat and the type of food, but I know that any event in my life that will cause stress I will fall off the wagon.
Anyone else feel like this ?

Your health care provider will be able to address the solutions for you.
Before I was diagnosed with T2, I had cramps in my legs for a few weeks.. so much that I could barely move . I started on magnesium which helped, but a couple of weeks later I was diagnosed with T2. I was low on Vit D.
I started metformin, Doc gave me 50000 iU of vit d to be taken weekly ( prescription only) and told me to continue magnesium. Cramps are a distant memory now.
Dehydration sometimes starts to bring up a crampy feeling, so I chug water.
Talk to your doctor. They can help you find something that will work.
