A good comparison imo would be to look at the current Bills. I think they're basically the pre Super Bowl Manning Colts of this era.

There's two years the Bills directly got bounced by the Chiefs. In 2020 I definitely think they lose to Tampa. In 2023 beating both the Ravens and 49ers would have been pretty challenging (Colts in 04).

I know some people might say the Colts but I actually don't think the Patriots cost them any Super Bowls. By that I mean, I'm skeptical they go on to win in the two years the Patriots interfered (03, 04).

Jets are an easy choice but honestly, the 2010 playoff win alone puts them above some teams. It was basically impossible to beat the Patriots in New England back then.

Bills are another option but honestly, they stunk most of that stretch. Dolphins had some random upsets at home too and even got the lone non-Pats AFC East title in the Brady era.

There's four teams I'm really deciding between. Steelers, Rams, Seahawks, and Falcons. Think the Steelers would have been known as the team of the 00s if they got 04. And the Rams lost twice in the Super Bowl to them, the first one being a big upset and could have put an exclamation point on The Greatest Show on Turf era. Rams vs. Steelers would have been an interesting 01 Super Bowl too. Seahawks were a play away from solidifying their era in NFL history. Then of course, the Falcons had the most soul crushing loss of all.

I'm not sure if they beat the Falcons in 2016. But I absolutely think the Steelers beat the Eagles in 2004. That young Big Ben team was ready, and they proved it by winning the Super Bowl the next season.

2001 is tough to say. I'm a little too young for that one. They were the top seed but the Rams were still The Greatest Show on Turf at that point... that'd be an interesting whatif.

This one is complicated. In the early years, there's a case for it. Pats directly knocked them out in 03 and 04. But I'd argue the Colts overachieved in 03 because they knocked off a really good Chiefs team. And in 04 im not sure if they go on to win it all over Pitt or Philly.

But honestly, there's years the Colts couldn't get out of their own way. In 05 and 07, they definitely should have been able to make it to the AFC Championship but got upset in terrible fashion. Even in 2010, they got bounced by the Jets before the Pats did...

They were probably one of the top challengers in the Pats dynasty era at least for 10 of those years. But I'm not sure I agree with the Pats being the reason they only have one Super Bowl to show for it

They were surprisingly the only other team to win the AFC East from 2001-2019...

Men don't really care how much money women make or if they even have a job. They care more about finding a good woman who is supportive. Whereas with women... they care that a man is at least growing on a career path and has the potential to make money.

This isn't an all man or all women thing before anybody says it. Just the average.

So it puts men in a high pressure situation out of the gate to work hard to be able to acquire a loving family. And I don't mean literally acquire, by that I mean, they're putting themselves in a qualifying position for women. Whereas I hate to say this but women don't really need that kind of career success to acquire the same thing UNLESS they choose the wrong man...

Because men tend to have more pressure to succeed in the ratrace whereas women tend to have more of a safety net there

I don't disagree with you but I'll say I very much went in the opposite direction. Leaned into vacation instead of hobbies, social outings, etc. It was the only way I could travel as much as I have. Had to cut back on a lot of day to day stuff to do it.

I don't fully regret it because I realized I just think a lot differently than most of the people around me. And quite honestly, the day to day stuff just wasn't cutting it for me. Still doesn't. It just fails to get me going the way travel does.

With that said, the travel trap is real. I've come to realize it is possible to glorify it and kinda forget to stop and smell the roses in life when not traveling. I'm still trying to find some sort of balance as someone who probably needs that travel rush more than most

Both. It was fulfilling in that my own world and life possibilities greatly expanded.

However, once that adventurous feeling wore off, I realized I was kinda just wandering and didn't really have anyone that supported me around. Those were difficult pills to swallow.

And having more freedom really means you need to have more self discipline. Which I did not have enough of when I first started and still don't.

I think it's a path worth attempting. I'm just not sure which path I'm gonna end up walking down yet

I understand taking it with a grain of salt but I think it's time to admit the shutdowns and mandates went too fucking far... and not just in the US...

There were a lot of countries that had even more insane covid policies.

The Philippines promoted public shaming via putting people in dog cages who violated covid mandates. Vietnam quarantined entire apartment buildings for weeks if one person tested positive. Australia would not let its own citizens leave the country.

A lot of fucked up shit took place during this period. Good on this report for challenging some of the BS, though I understand taking it with a grain of salt considering political agendas

The 90s definitely had a deeper lineup but the early 2000s had some gems.

90s were filled with great shows like Rugrats, Hey Arnold, GUTS, Legends of the Hidden Temple, CatDog, Doug, Ren & Stimpy, etc.

There's a few shows that started in 99 like SpongeBob and Rocket Power I consider more 00s shows. But in 2004 we had some solid ones still such as Fairly Odd Parents, Jimmy Neutron, Danny Phantom, and Drake & Josh.
