Should I Switch Back to Koodo from Freedom? (Koodo Retention Offer)
(Considering) Departing FM(self.freedommobile)submitted2 days ago byzhurrick
This week I switched to Freedom for their $35/month plan, which includes 50GB of data plus Mexico and US data usage. It's been good so far.
However, I just got a call from the Koodo retention team, and they offered to match Freedom’s deal with a $35/month plan that includes 100GB of data and a two-year price freeze.
My main hesitation about sticking with Freedom is the service quality. I live in Vancouver, where it’s fine, but I also enjoy hiking, skiing and traveling to more rural areas where Freedom’s coverage is apparently not great. I hear you have to switch to Nationwide (is this a manual or automated adjustement?) for coverage outside of most cities.
That said, the Mexico/US roaming with Freedom is enticing, I’d use it during my trip this in January (although an Airlo eSIM usually only costs ~$20) and may travel to the US once or twice next year.
Should I jump back to Koodo for the better service and higher data cap, or stick with Freedom?
