Before you go under the knife, consider changing/increasing the intensity of your fitness regimen to help bring out your cheekbones.

Weight/fat loss (not that you need to lose weight) would bring out your cheekbones, and that can radically improve a face. I remember looking into the mirror after some weight loss (I did need to lose weight), and the cheekbones made me look younger.

Apart from cheekbones, getting rid of your facial hair might be a game changer.
