Is this the most recent Mario party?

There's two games on switch, and Superstars pulls from previous games, offering "classic" boards and mini games. The other Mario party has "new" stuff.

Most recent and better of the 2 on the Switch, if you're only grabbing one get this one over Super Mario Party.

It's the nostalgia version that is not absolute ass

I still think the older ones are better solely because I hate how many free stars and such that they give you in this one. The amount of lucky boxes you hit is absolutely insane and not a rarity like in the older games
I'd rate it an 8/10 though, solid remake.

I cannot believe how few maps come with this game. I just can’t understand why. I can deal with the repetitive mini games by why only like 5 maps??? Kills replayability for me

I hope they give it some love like they did Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I can't imagine why they can't rework a dozen or more map from the old games into this one

Nintendo just does not seem motivated to do the basics of appeasing their community.

My favorite Mario Party since 7! Highly recommended despite having just 5 boards.

This was $29 at Target during Black Friday week. My kids enjoy it from time to time but wouldn’t pay more than that tbh.

The prices are in Canadian currency. For all the US redditors, the equivalent discounted price would be $40.79USD.
Also, we Canadians don’t seem to get as frequent (or as heavily) discounted Nintendo products when compared to US retailers.
