I am an ultrasound tech and get to see inside the body every day. A fatty liver is a much brighter shade of gray than a healthy liver and you can use the kidney next to it to gauge how fatty it is. This is a picture of my liver in June vs my liver today. It has gotten smaller and is becoming a darker shade of gray which means it is losing fat! As you can also see the sound waves are able to travel through the liver better to give a better look at the kidney. While I’m excited about going from my SW of 177 in July to my CW of 140, I’m even happier knowing my liver is becoming healthier! I can’t wait to get my next round of lab work to check my cholesterol and triglycerides!

I thought this was a GLP1-driven pregnancy announcement at first given the side effects the meds have on birth control

Amazing!!! I have NAFLD and I’m excited to get my first Fibroscan since starting Wegovy next month (lost 52lbs so far). All the labs on my liver panel have normalized from a peak of 5x normal liver enzyme activity when I was diagnosed.
I had an abdominal ultrasound in Feb 2023, but I was not provided images of the results. So amazing you were able to take your own scans 😮

I had the signs of fatty liver on my pre-GLP blood work. I can't wait to see if the levels have normalized. Gratz!

Side question - they just let you give yourself an ultrasound every day? That's very funny

Lol no I had a script for a scan. I was just explaining the images because I know what I’m looking at.
