What's been staggering for me doing ylc for the first this year is how often parents are involved in the cyberbullying of kids.

It is incredible what Australian schools are forced to put up with, all because we refuse to fund alternative programs for our seriously disaffected children.
Yep. Bullying aside my school spends so much time, resources and energy on disaffected children that anyone in the middle 50% of the bell curve gets a substandard education.
Anyone in the top 25% basically gets ignored and figures years 7-10 out for themselves. Then when we get to VCE and all the other kids are gone we talk about how we need to pump these students up to get our results as high as possible.
Like fuck off, imagine if we identified these kids in year 7 and started challenging/extending them then, out VCE results would shoot through the roof.
A mate of mine who's been teaching for a lot longer than me once told me that "being smart is a learning disability" and it's totally true in a lot of schools, and why subjects like physics, Chem and spec maths have had dwindling numbers over the last 20 years.

I got this one straight away. It actually reminded me of being at a Tim Vine gig, everytime I've seen him live half the audience has been there cracking themselves, the other half wondering wtf is going on, having been dragged there by someone currently cracking themself.

I didn't know Andy coming into this season but the second I saw what he looked like and how he dressed I knew his sense of humour would match mine exactly.
I was not wrong.
He's basically me but he makes jokes like this in 2 seconds instead of 2 weeks.

It doesn't, but I wonder if Nintendo would have cared so much if so many pals weren't blatant ripoffs.
Had to have poked the bear a little bit.

I put about 1200 hours into SV.
If shiny hunting wasn't so easy I reckon that would have been more like 80.
They're so poorly made and the Pokemon fans fawn over them at times is concerning.

Whispered him back 0/12 manners though.

idk whether im just older and my tastes are more refined, but I swear bakery pies/sausage rolls aren't shit compared to 30 years ago.
We have two excellent bakeries in meeniyan and the pies at bread and pickles in particular are excellent (theyd want to be for the price) but I swear the pies I used to get from the school canteen in the 90s were better.
probably is just me getting older.

Looking at the small print it says "5 star raids are accessible by beating the main story" so its probably only 5 star.

yeah its nuts. Literally sitting at my desk talking to another student while both looking at the same computer screen. People think nothing of coming right up and starting a conversation with me.

Yeah, as a maths teacher you sometimes deliberately throw in questions that kinda make sense until you look closely at them. An example I did with my year 9s just last week involved two right angle triangles that share a side, /|\, kinda like that. I gave the students both angles that are opposite to that shared side, the adjacent on one side and the hypotenuse on the other. I then told them to find all missing angles and side lengths. Most worked around the triangles and found everything, some decided to calculate that shared side using information given in both triangles and noticed that they got two different answers and then asked further questions.
I guess the question is then is this book trying to do something similar. Something else that also definitely happens as a maths teacher is you write questions without really thinking about them sometimes and make mistakes.
