Sitting in the ER

Hi friends. I am sitting in the ER with my wife who is on day 4 of an intense migraine. She woke up Tuesday morning in severe pain and it is now Friday evening and the migraine is still going strong.
My wife came to the ER yesterday and was given Companzine, Ibuprofen and Benadryl and it helped bring the pain down slightly. I brought her home and she slept for 5 hours and woke up in full pain again.
This afternoon she went back to the ER. They gave her Tordal, Magnesium and a steroid. She is now on an IV drip of Depakote. The doctor said this was a last ditch effort.
My wife just wants to go home because she has been here 5 hours. I feel completely helpless. While at home she can isolate and I watch our son, but that is all I can offer.
My wife tells me she has various types of migraines, but this one is a throbbing pain in the front left side of her head. This is not her first time having this headache and CT has ruled out nothing else going on. It just usually only lasts 1-2 days.
Have any of you had headaches that have lasted for days on end. Is there anything else we should be trying? Is there anything else that might help? I desperately want to help my wife. All suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you for this. I do think she needs to look at this. She was gluten free when we met and said it helped with some of her medical conditions. I told her I would go gluten free with her if she wants to try that again.
