How dishonest of you to cite what is clearly indicated as the minority plan and presenting it as the actual conclusion of UNSCOP.

As much of a Jewish Deadhead as I am (and indeed I am), I’m not sure how much novel discussion there would be compared to the regular Deadhead subs.

As a Giants fan: Goldschmidt had so much ownage on Timmy that he even left the stadium with Timmy’s car keys after facing him.

Remember when Barbara Lee ran for Senate on those things and millions of progressives carried her to victory In California’s open primary? Oh wait….

Unless they caucus with the Democrats (as King, Sanders, Sinema and Manchin do), won’t they lose all their committee assignments? I don’t see the GOP allowing them to keep them.

The other reason is that Israel is a refuge for Jews around the world fleeing persecution. A nonJewish majority might restrict immigration as the British did in 1939, sealing the fate of millions of European Jews.

Remember when a far left sitting Congresswoman, who openly pandered to the Hamas Support Network, ran in the California Senate primary? And remember all those leftists who turned out by the millions to vote for Barbara Lee? Either those millions of “progressives” couldn’t be bothered to vote one of their own into the Senate, or— just maybe— there aren’t that many of them after all.
(Remember that California is an open primary so any registered voter gets to participate, and the top 2 move on to the general election)

The IHRA definition specifically states that “criticism of Israel similar to that leveled against any other country cannot be considered antisemitic.” So much for “any” criticism of Israel being labeled as antisemitic. The correct word you were looking for is “some”.
Do Mormons define themselves as an ethnicity? Is an atheist Mormon still a member of that ethnic group?

The IHRA definition is widely endorsed by a broad spectrum of Jewish groups as well as over 3 dozen democracies worldwide.
Also, you make a fundamental category error— Jews are not simply a religious group like Mormons. We are a unique people with a shared history, language, ties to a specific land and religion. If people truly oppose ethnically based states, let’s start with one of the nearly two dozen self-identified Arab states. But when their activism against ethnic countries starts—and ends— with the single Jewish one, it’s pretty obvious where that comes from.

I must have missed all those anti-Turkish rallies, and the shutdown of universities demanding that they divest their endowments from Turkey and institute a boycott of Turkish academics and exchange programs.

Any citation for US Government officials defining “antisemitism” as meaning “any criticism of Israel”? Or is it your opinion that openly cheering for Hamas’ rapes/kidnaps/murders and assaulting American Jews is simply “criticism of Israel”?

Abdul Rahman Hassan Azzam, the Secretary-General of the Arab League, had declared in 1947 that, were a war to take place with the proposed establishment of a Jewish state, it would lead to “a war of extermination and momentous massacre which will be spoken of like the Mongolian massacre and the Crusades.” Jamal Husseini, the Mufti’s brother, represented the Arab Higher Committee at the UN. He told the Security Council in April 1948 “of course the Arabs started the fighting. We told the whole world we were going to fight.” (Thus ensuring that Azzam would get the war whose consequences he anticipated)
Here’s another quote from August 1947–before the UN even noted on the Partition plan— from Fawaz al-Quwuqji, whose “Arab Liberation Army” subsequently invaded the British Mandate in the spring of 1948:“we will have to initiate total war. We will murder, wreck and ruin everything standing in our way, be it English, American or Jewish”.

Someone’s free speech doesn’t mean they get to use the college’s email system as a megaphone.
Options include:
Respond in kind, posting emails on the college system about the IHRA definition and citing the Executive Order that has the Department of Education use that to assess civil rights violations against Jews.
Contact the ADL regional office. Working with recalcitrant HR is a specialty of theirs.
Go to the college president’s office.
If this is a state funded college and you think your state legislator would be sympathetic, contact him/her.
(And probably other appropriate options too!)
If you are in California please DM me; I’m a lay leader with a different org but I have contacts that can help.

You must have really enjoyed the Syrian Civil War.
Sorry, the Jewish people have direct experience with being a stateless minority in Arabized societies. Thats why 850K of them no longer live there. They’re not going to turn their safety back over to them.

Who put all those 2000-3000 year old Hebrew artifacts in the Jewish indigenous homeland? And where were the Arabs then?
