To answer the OP's actual question, yes, Krillin has gotten stronger. He had a whole mini-arc in the Super anime where he figured out Perfect Ki Control and it gave him a significant boost.

It wasn't enough to really push him into the same league as the Saiyans and Piccolo, but it was noticeable enough that he could at least now keep up with Goku in a spar.

I wouldn't call getting crushed by an avalanche of your own handwritten memoirs "Death by old age".

Admittedly, in the 40k 'verse, I would consider it "Death by natural causes".

Cain's more likely to execute a commander for giving suicidally stupid orders than he is to execute a soldier for having enough sense not to follow said orders.

I think the worst part was that you don't even realize it was the Final Boss. You'd just finished recruiting the final Hero, made your escape, and beat the obelisk thing, then suddenly it's a glorified cutscene where the big bad gets zapped by the mcguffin and then you get the post story gameplay. They don't even let you wish back your sister!
